Good video mate. Making a coffee.table with a granite offcut I have. Can I use some sort of epoxy glue for attaching the metal base to the offcut in your opinion?
Hey Bill, I was given a new shower base that I'm going to use for a shower/washroom in my new workshop. It was being thrown out because it has a tiny hairline crack radiating from the plug hole, otherwise it's perfect. Would this stuff be ok to patch it up? ( Was considering sealing the underside also to prevent any leak). Cheers, love your channel 👌🙏
Hi Bill thank you for uploading the video. I want a 4.5 metre breakfast bar x 1.6 width (yes I know it’s big but it is a big kitchen) and want to use a stone bench top. But the longest length is 3.2. I understand it would be heavy to manhandle so could you use 2 x 2.25 lengths joined together and colour match the tanex to stone I am using? Is that something a kitchen firm could do? Thanks in advance
Hi, it’s definitely something they can do however you want to avoid as many seams as possible. And the weight of one full piece is very hard to work with. Anything can be done but it will cost you $$$
Hey Bill i love the video was just wondering i am looking to get stone benchtops and im needing 3300MM in length but all supplier and installers want to add the join at the sink which is half way in the middle is this for weight reasons to make lifting easier ?? largest slab sizes are 3200MM from what there tellinmg ,me
Perhaps it is better to have the tenacity in there for strength and flexibility and not all squeezed out. Idk and I’m not even a tradie but just wonder myself
Awesome tip Bill, it’s great to share the industry repair methods with the community. Great work👌
👍👍👍
Thanks mate, another great video. As a handyman in Melbourne you're invaluable!
Excellent learnt something new. never used stone so now ill be more confident
How strong of a hold does Tenax have? Could I join two pieces of marble to make a small tabletop?
Can you tell me if the bond is strong enough for the piece to go through cnc machine?
Excellent Bill, always wondered if you just throw the bench top out or repair it, Now I know there are options. 👍
👍👍👍
Would this work on a Quartz kitchen sink? I dropped if and part of the left hand side drainer snapped off just wondering if this would do the job..

How are you joint stone with timber top?
Would this work to reseal a join in kitchen where 2 pieces meet?
If it’s stone, it will👍

Some people choose to have the seam under the sink so it is less conspicuous.
thx

How come you didn't use clamps? Maybe clamps would allow that hairline crack to almost disappear.

you didn’t use the excess resin from the first go…
