@@Chinopolis what makes you guys say that? i've only played MoF and EoSD (have yet to complete either on normal haha) so far, so i'm not too knowledgeable on the games also, what exactly is the point of having the split screen? you only play with one character, don't you?
Check out Jaimers video on this one for a more detailed analysis but basically the game is extremely bare bones and stripped down compared to the ones before it, especially to the one it is a direct sequel of, Touhou 9 (Phantasmagoria of Flower View). It has no score, no replays, the items you get are random and mostly ineffective, there's not a lot of new songs in the game and are several reused songs, and the versus system in single player mode is completely pointless. In 9 and 3 even though the AI cheats you are still wearing down their health and can occasionally take them out before their set time to die. In this one the CPU has no real effect on the game and every stage is essentially just a timed survival ordeal. At the very least the basic gameplay is intact so what is there is still payable.
@@Chinopolis???? The CPU is literally more dumber than the ones in PoFV and PoDD. It literally cannot dodge anything that isn't a bullet, so the AI will just flail around cluelessly and die. Also, most story mode characters are very easy to do NB runs on, including Nazrin. The Jaimers video was made before any thorough research of the game even started, so I wouldn't call his video the most reliable source of information.

I'm surprised you keep coming back to this one. I regret spending as much time as I did on it last year. Cool concept, but poor execution from ZUN.
I would say it's probably the worst modern ZUN game next to Violet Detector, but Touhou is still Touhou and I still enjoy playing them.
