By taking the "Administrator Test" They meant taking a test from the "Administrator of the Floor" which is the giant creature that Bam met. Also Lero-ro said that before Jahad became the king there weren't any Rankers that gave the Tests, implying that most likely the orginal Administrators were these Big Creatures that bam met.
Btw their name also goes by "The Guardians" which means they are the guardians of the Floor in the tower.
One more thing that I forgot to write, The Floor Administrator may change any rule that a Ranker says or gives because they has the final word in it. That's why Khun initialy tried to go ask the Floor Administrator to allow Rachel to take the Test. The only problem is that the Floor Administrator can make the test even more crazier to complete so it is a risk within itself.

The whole point was to take the harder test in exchange for letting Rachel take the test since she failed. The administrator test is just a harder test and the other people are there taking the harder test because they want to help Bam.
Edit: If you’re going read some of the webtoon for clarity, I recommend ep53 since the anime did Khun dirty for that scene.

the only main thing they cut out is that after bam talks to the administrator, there's an entire chapter showing everyone training before taking the test. there's wasn't any dialogue so it makes sense why they cut it out.

if you're interested in reading Tower of God's manhwa, this first arc of the story goes from chapter 1 - 79. I really recommend you to do so, there are some concepts that were better explained and dialogs not seen in the anime.
Bam and co. is taking the administrator's test, not an administrator test. Only rankers can apply for admin jobs.
Originally testing is done by the floor administrator, that's why the first ascent done by King Jahad was by taking the administrator's test. For some reason, testing is outsourced to rankers (YuHan and co.). But any rules set by rankers can be overruled by the floor administrator.
Rachel was disqualified because of her injuries, but that only applies to test run by rankers. The floor administrator can overrule that easily.
Khun's plan was basically tell YuHan to call the manager, the REAL manager of the floor, the floor administrator and asked to take its test instead.
Bam asked the floor administrator if Bam can take the administrator's test to bypass the fact that Rachel is disqualified.

For everyone else taking the test, it was said last episode that only an Irregular can NEGOTIATE to take the test.
It was a choice whether everyone else would help him and Rachel take the test, and that’s why there was that whole bit with Khun and Rak .

Baam said in the early of this episode that the ‘floor administrator’ just gave the ‘test director’ the liberty to decide whether to let the others take the test or not. So I think it depends on the occasion whether the floor administrator would allow the ‘regulars’ to participate in the test along with the ‘irregulars’.
Then near the end of the episode, Baam told Rachel about the conversation he had with the floor admin earlier which hinted that the reason his friends were allowed (by the floor admin) to take the test was that they are what Baam desired the most (next to Rachel). That means if they all participate in the test, they would put themselves at risk and Baam might loose them all. If Baam wants to climb the tower with them, he has to pass the test designed against what he wants. But if he succeeds, it might prove that their friendship is ‘strong’ enough for them to climb the tower together.
Of course, the test director has his own agenda. That’s why he allowed all of them to participate.

There’s no info that’s left out a lot of things like the betrayals get revealed on later episodes.

The thing about this series is the world is already built we are learning as Bam goes on. Bam was talking with the administrator to get approval to take the test go to UP the tower with Rachel since the the yellow turtle failed her. Later episodes are gonna piece all of this together though so trust me when I say it will click later

If you think that's too much you could also just watch AniNews' videos, "Skipped content" for Tower of God, in which he basically sums up each episode along with the chapters the episode is about, that way you get all the information given in the manhwa as well !
Rachel is an irregular but only because bam opened the door with his power and she just slipped in. If you look back at the first episode the door to the tower opens underneath them and Rachel disappears first that’s not because of her own power tho. From what I understand gedeon the bunny guy is the guardian of the tower so he gets to choose who enters and those are considered “regulars” but the tower itself seems to have a will of its own and it’s said that the tower itself not gedeon will choose someone to enter to bring change to the tower and that’s the irregulars. A bit confusing,a lot of this info is from SIU’s blog. So it’s never covered in the webtoon SIU will post blog posts with miscellaneous canon info

The administrators test doesn’t mean that they become administrators when they pass. It’s just instead of the directors tests that they’ve been doing, now they’re doing a test by the administrators. Also there was a mistranslation in the last episode where Khun said that the rules restricting Rachel only applies to the “administrators test” when he actually said “directors test” in Japanese so that caused a lot of confusion.
Well basically bam goes to negotiate with administrator for allowing Rachel to be able to take test. Administrator allowed it and give the test responsibility to Hansung Yu. Everyone has option either take the administrator 's test(which is test given by administrator and not for becoming one) or take regular tests (they for first and take it with Bam) . Administrator are like God and are not something one can change or replace (each floor has it own administrator like that big eye who got supreme authority over it's floor (independent and above Jahad) . They are the real test takers though they let lower authority hired (like Hansung Yu) manage all tests and don't bother himself.
The test doesn't make you an Administrator they said the last episode that it lets you climb the tower with the shortest route however you become an accomplice of an Irregular since they are the ones who can request for the test then everyone else can choose to take it. Also, Bam requested for the test to have Rachel pass, of course, she would take the test as well. Ren is controlling the Bull, the dolphins are fine, the plan is to get Anaak, not lead Bam and Rachel somewhere else. There isn't another Bull, Ren just made it hold back earlier to then get Endorsi by herself while he deals with Anaak. The anime didn't include this but instead implies it, Ren is the one who killed Anaak's mom. There's a conversation between Hansung and Bam after Bam speaks with the Administrator, I won't say what happens just in case they show it later but let's just say that Bam calls him a terrible person and asks him about the top of the tower.

it was hinted at already but lo.po bia Ren wasn't supposed to be the one that teaches them shinsu, it was supposed to be someone in sheep skin called "yuga". Hansung yu Said that "yuga was always 5 minutes early" so being 3 days late was suspicious. This means that's Ren, must've killed them and taken their skin to pretend to be them.

Bam just asked for the Administrator's permission to include Rachel in the final test. The final test was the Administrator's Test exactly. That is why Lero Ro was suspicious how well-prepared Hansung Yu was in such a short time, where in fact, the final test was completely changed into Administrator's Test just a while ago. Clearly shows that Hansung Yu knew what was coming (Bam negotiating with the Administrator) and planned it all beforehand.
The Administrators test isn’t a test to become an Administrator. Before Jahad climbed the tower and populated it with rankers and regulars, there were still tests to climb floors. The Administrators themselves gave the tests and determined their difficulty based on their desires to climb the tower. These tests we’re generally harder. Ever since Jahad climbed the tower, he gave that responsibility to the rankers who had climbed after him to regulate, and streamline the process for regulars. That being said, the original authority still lies with the Administrators themselves, so if an irregular chose to speak with an Administrator, they have the power to overrule any test being proposed by a ranker if they choose. Khun’s plan was to ask the Administrator to simply allow Rachel to take the test alongside everyone else against the rankers wishes. When Bam asked, the Administrator allowed it and this test was created, which is more difficult than the test they would have taken had they not asked the Administrator and kept Rachel out. Hope this clears a few things up.
The Floor Administrator allowed Bam to take the test as he wanted and also mentioned that it would let Hansung prepare the test.
It could prepare the test for Bam only, like how Jahad took his, but it did not.
Also, since Bam just wanted to take Rachel along to climb the tower, Hansung just made use of the final exam that lets them graduate from the Floor of Tests as the Administrator's test too. But well, there's alot more things underlying here so please enjoy the last episodes!

The regular only need to take one more test to go to the next floor. But khun and bam request the final test to be an administrator test. So if they pass the test they can go to the next floor. The reason everyone participate is because they want to help bam. And choose the administrator test as their final test. If they want they can take the normal test but they all decide to help bam. About Anima: is a special ability that give you the power to control deep sea fish like the fight between Ren ad Yuhan.
The reason Khun asked about the anima ability was because when shibisu meet up with the bull it was ignoring him even though the administrator already said it attacks everything in sight it didn’t have a specific target. The bulls wasn’t acting like it normally does and so Khun thought that someone must be controlling the bull.
The director said, "Only an irregular can negotiate to take the Administrator's test". Everyone still must take a final test in order to climb the tower. Bam met with the Administrator in order to allow Rachel to be allowed to take the test, and he agreed, telling the director to allow it, by adjusting the difficulty. It was never too become an Administrator, because even Jahad can't remove their authority over their floor.

All baam did was merely ask the administrator(giant fish thing) for permission to take the test. Baam is an irregular so he is the only one who is qualified to take a test directly from an administrator. He wasn't gonna become an administrator himself Lol, that's not possible. The administrators are the Gods of the tower and their entire floor, no regular can become one. So after baam received the go ahead from the admin, hangsung as the test director, conducted the test for them(the underwater hunt test).
The floor administrator are essentially the "gods" of this series. They are ancient beings that existed before even King Jahad and the current structure of the tower. When King Jahad first climbed, there were no test directors to give out tests, so he had to go to the floor admins. Due to their standing as "gods", they have the final say in all tests. The normal rules state that if your injured, like in Rachel's case, you cannot climb but the admin overruled that, allowing them to take a test created by Coffee Turtle. To our knowledge, there is no way to become a floor administrator.
In the last episode it was explained that only irregulars can negotiate with the administrator(guardian) to change, bend the rules, since at the end of the day the administrator has the last say so above rankers and even the king as it is their floor, think of them as being God for that floor. All Baam did was negotiate with the administrator to allow Rachel to take the test even though she was injured( which was originally against the rules put in place by the rankers). Hope this helps.
The manhwa is also structured in seasons. If you want to read just read season 1. I’d suggest waiting till the finale.
The thing for Endorsi is that she has to choose between her reputation as the Princess of Jahad or her friend(s). If she was to refuse to kill Anak, it will ruin her reputation terribly, possibly have her title taken from her. And she really takes that title of Princess with pride. And you will see this inner conflict in her throughout the story. This constant struggle of should I fulfill the duties of a Princess or go my own way. And it takes a GREAT deal of courage to ignore the duties as a princess.
If you're wondering why the regulars took the test, it is because it was mentioned in episode 10 that they all agreed to help Bam when Lero Ro asked them.
yesterday I watched the reaction to the new ps5 and today this? bro this channel is killing it.
Bam talking to the admin wasnt the test, he was negotiating to TAKE the test. So he succeeded in his negotiation, therefore Rachel was able to take the Administrator's test with everyone else, which is the test we're watching now.
Next week will probably be the big climax with the final episode 13 covering the season 1 epilogue chapters. Can't wait.
The reason they take the administrator test is because if they follow the normal rule rachel didn't pass because of her injury. So bam request the test so rachel can also participate in the next test. The administrator can change the rule also the administrator test is just a test that is harder than a normal test

The anime subtitles use a lowercase 'a' when referring to test *a*dministrators and a capital 'A' when referring to Floor *A*dministrators. Last episode Khun requested to take the *A*dministrator's test instead of the *a*dministrator's test because the *A*dministrator could bypass the rule about Rachel being unable to take the test. Bam only went to see the *A*dministrator to get permission for Rachel to take the test with them, and only he was allowed to do that because he's an Irregular. I made a comment on last week's episode explaining it in more detail if y'all wanna go back and look at it

Let me clarify some of your doubts without spoiling.
1. Administrator's test is not the test to become a test administrator. It's a test from the Floor Administrator. Translation should have been clearer.
2. Irregulars can go and ask the Floor Administrator for permission to take the Administrator's test. This is what Bam did in the first few minutes of this episode.
3. Once the Floor Administrator grants permission, people can take the test even if they're not irregulars.
I think 80% of the reason anime only reactors are confused of the whole Admin's test thing is bad translation.

so when khun was asking whether an anima can control the net dolphin or bull the show was insinuating that a ranker - which is the fluffy riceball - was controlling the bull to lure endorsi and anaak to him. because you can clearly see that at first when endorsi was fighting the bull it was rather weak but the truth was ren(riceball) was just limiting the bulls strength to lure both of them

Spoiler-free explanations that you guys have to understand before you watch these last two upcoming episodes.
It was the "Adminstrator's Test", noticing the punctuation(even written like this in the subtitles when brought up last episode), it was the test given by the administrator to allow special decisions and rules and such. Because of this, they are being allowed to take a test to allow all to pass to the 3rd floor.
Also, it must be known, just because Bam and Rachel were in the same spot does not mean that they are both irregulars, what we seen at the beginning of the series was Rachel being taken to the tower then Bam forcing it open to be there with her, we've seen how his emotions can cause crazy happenings by this point.
I really hope they do the ending well. This anime will go from great to godly if they adapt the ending well.
Don’t let the manhwa readers get in your head. The things left out aren’t imperative to the plot! I think because they’ve been complaining so much whenever something is confusing people automatically assume it’s because some mysterious essential detail was left out but that isn’t the case
Most of the details manhwa readers get are from the author's notes. The author give extra side details in his blog after each chapter.

The administrator's test its a test from the foor administrator only irregulars can negotiate to take it but other regulars can take it if the administrator accepts it. Its not a test to become an administrator, you have to be born one. its not a given title like the test admin, test director or floor ruler like evankhell.
Anima is also a role/position just like fisherman, spearbearer, wave controller etc. but is a very rare position. basically a tamer/beastmaster. there are other rare positions not yet told in the story
You will definitely enjoy Solo Leveling. The visuals of this Mahnwa are Insane which makes all the fight scenes super hype.

-Rules of the tests prohibits Regulars (like Rachel) from participating the same if they are injured. Those rules are set by the Test Directors (Yu hansung)
-However, these rules can be changed by the Floor Guardian or in this anime, they are called the "Administrators"
-Administrators can make new rules depending on situations BUT not everyone can negotiate with them. Only IRREGULARS are allowed to take the Administrator's test
-Administrator's test is being run and supervised by the floor guardian itself and no longer the test director like the previous tests.
-the reason why Baam contacted the Administrator is to CHANGE the rules of the last test (which prohibits Rachel from participating since she's injured)
-Baam actually asked the Administrator to allow Rachel to participate not to take the test by himself alone

Bam requested a test feom the administrator, under the condition that rachel could take it. The admin simply created a test with the right difficulty.
Taking a test "administered by the Administrator" is not the same as taking a test to "become an administrator". Khun's initial idea was NOT to become an admin and change the rules, but to go over mid-management heads (Hansung Yu in this case) and ask higher authorities (the Administrator) to let Rachel participate in the next test. Like asking to "speak to the manager" when you are unhappy with restaurant's service.

You guys mistook Rachel being able to take the floor test with Rachel being able to take the administrators test (she didnt/cant).
Bam took the administrators test because he's an irregular and because he passed that test Rachel is allowed to be a part of the floor test with everyone else.
The administrator test is not a test to BECOME an administrator (they are like super beings like the giant fish eye Bam talked to). Its a test GIVEN by the administrator.

He didn't take the test to become an administrator, thats a misunderstanding. The administrator's test is the test the administrator sanctions.
And yes, some things were left out but nothing important which is why you shouldnt jump to conclusion that the show cut something important. The conversation with the guardian in the manhwa was also just briefly shown and there were no important details missed.

I mean yeah they do cut some stuff but that's because the creator explains like in high details and if the anime added the full explanation of the things the whole episode will be just boring, so they keep it in short and only explain the most important parts, and honestly if they animate season 2 which most likely they will, the thing gets more and more amazing, like obviously season 1 was to show the concept of the anime and introduce the characters, but season 2 is where the anime starts I'm quite excited

You might just want to read the whole thing. Season one in the webtoon is 80 chapters that vary from middle to long lengths in exposition. I actually started skipping some info because I had a feeling the anime would cut things. I was right too, they started the show by saying a lot of things that did not add up and they are skipping a lot of information like other irregulars and a few world building moments. ToG does this annoying thing of moving the dialogue to an open scene where no one is and that's probably why so much gets cut off. It looks really beautiful but it's done way too often taking away from some powerful moments. SIU is also taking another break and does not have a return date in mind, so it might be worth it to catch up. Szn 2 alone is over 300 episodes/chapters. I don't even want to imagine how much they cut. It's really sad too because the writer and his team put in a lot of work into this webtoon. I'm glad I started reading it because it's looking like Tokyo Ghoul Re with just szn 1 getting cut so much.

Also, the net fish are controlling where Rachel and bam goes. They’re the ones who are making the shinsu net (trying to bring fish to their queen). I get what you’re saying about how an anima can control the net fish and make them bring bam and Rachel anywhere, but in this case you’re looking too deep right here. But yes, an anima who is super strong , like a ranker, can control any animal it wants.

So this episode was smoother than last episode (or the previous test) in terms of pacing. Baam went to the administrator to gain permission to take the test and the administrator tailors the test according to Bam’s desire.
That explains why Rachel is apart of this test as well as his friends playing a supporting role in helping him pass as oppose to him taking the test by himself. Baam loves Rachel and the friends he’s made along the way so the way the test is set up makes sense.

And the administrator had it's own way to agree with the person who took the administrator test. In this case the administrator just agree with bam's offer
