- Jarrod Spector who?! I think your NEW dream cast voice actor for Hugo is my amazingly talented friend Patrick Park! I know a lot of us wanted to hear what this song sounded like as it was meant to be heard - sung by a male singer. When Patrick agreed to take on this little project with me, I was thrilled! Seriously, I cannot get over how good he is and how much heart and passion he brought to this song. I hope it makes you as happy as it made me!

A reminder of the context, in case you forgot or are new here: During a montage in which the gang travels across a mountain range/scales a mountain, Hugo attempts to shut down his growing feelings for Varian before he falls too deep. Will he succeed? (SPOILER: No, no he will not.)

These songs are great its a real shame that disney vetoed this idea. Though I have my suspicions as to why and it isn't because Varian is a secondary character... Ok that might be part of it but considering how the ending goes with Varian being possessed by his mother and Hugo confessing and the heartfelt apology. Disney just isn't up to having gay characters a brief side character or in the case of Lefou heavily hinted at. But can't have a gay lead character a shame really cause we all know Varian is bi and Hugo is just a gay disaster. We all know how cute they'd be together.

I don't think Disney has a problem with gay characters - in Beauty and the beast Stephon's friend was gay and was seen dancing with another guy briefly in the movie and there are some speculations that Elsa might not be completely straight, it's more of the amount of hate they'll get from homophobic parents and churches that will probably ban the show from most places because of that making them lose audiences is what I think their most worried about, which is fair- but also sad. Their getting hate right now because some parents think 'let it go' is a song about coming out :>

So I made/wrote a version of slippery slope from the perspective of Varian, but I 100% used the originals instrumental for it.
