The Asian Highway Network (AH), also known as the Great Asian Highway, is a cooperative project among countries in Asia.
Agreements have been signed by 32 countries to allow the highway to cross the continent and also reach to Europe. Some of the countries taking part in the highway project are India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, China, Iran, Japan, South Korea, Nepal and Bangladesh.
Highway AH 2:
It is 13,177 KMs roadway starting from Indonesia and ending at Iran. It passes through 10 countries which are - Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan & Iran.
Among which 1021 KMs lies in Nepal which runs from Kakarbhitta in East to Mahendranagar (Gaddachauki) in West.
Highway AH 42:
It is 1495 KMs long roadway which will connect India, Nepal & China.
Road which is shown in video:
A 120-kilometer four-lane road from Kakarvitta to Laukahi of Sunsari is being constructed. The 120-km-long four-lane roadway falls under a section of the East-West Highway and it connects Jhapa, Morang and Sunsari.
