Yes, i think that song Hunter wrote is pretty clearly about Jan, "making a man out of him" which is why she loves to listen to it and reminisce about "that one night." The question is, does Michael suspect or is he oblivious?
The actors of Pam and Angela saw it as Jan deliberately using Hunter to drive Michael mad, and Michael's response was to lie Pam was to him, what Hunter was to her. This should also explain why Jan thinks Michael and Jan dated. So, I don't think Michael was oblivious, especially with his little comments every time Jan plays the song.
its funnier on the 2nd watch because u know whats gonna happen & u have much less cringe-induced anxiety😂...1, yes, first episode back sfter the writers strike & angela kinsey (who plays angela martn) was pregnant, if u look at her in "the deposition" she has a virtually unnoticable "baby bump", 5 months later in "the dinner psrty" u can notice that theyre hiding her now GIANT belly constantly , lol...like with that absurdly large boquet of flowers andy brings as a gift to the hostess of the party jan...that ridiculous gift was chosen soley to strategically hide sngela's belly in the scenes of sngela & andy's arrival, during the game of charades shes on the couch with a pillow on her lap..----.lastly, the idea is that micheal is in hell, & jan (in that bright red top/shirt) is satan, ..many other red items in the condo too, the painting micheal replaced with the neon beer sign was crazy red, jan's andy warhol-like multiple portrait on hung on the staircase wall was mostly red, many of jans candles were red (& burning), & when jan says "i like clean windows, so, i guess that makes me the devil!" there is literally a fire blazing behind her chair in the living room...ha....anyway, thats it...awesome reaction:D
the implication is that micheal is blaming pam for why hes not getting back to Jan. so Jan thinks its because pam is into him because micheals too much of a coward lol.
Probably in the minority, yes. 99% of fans love this episode. Not everyone loves every episode though. If you haven't seen yet though, which I'm sure you have, the bloopers for this episode are incredible lol
