- Your Labour in the Lord Is Not in Vain
Scripture References:
1 Corinthians 15:57-58
57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
Galatians 6:7-10
7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Key Points:
**Encouragement in Challenges**: Sometimes believers face discouragement due to various challenges. These obstacles are tactics of the devil to make us lose focus and become weary.
**Stand Firm**: We are urged to stand firm, unmoved by circumstances. Despite feeling unrecognized, weary, or forsaken, we must remain steadfast.
**Temptations and Discouragements**: Believers may face career stagnation, financial challenges, relationship problems, spiritual attacks, unanswered prayers, lack of spiritual fruit, or loss of loved ones. These can lead to discouragement and temptations.
**God's Guidance and Assurance**: Always seek God's guidance in your labor, whether at home, work, church, or in the community. Pray, give, preach, and continue doing God's work. Isaiah 40:31 encourages us to keep praying and waiting on the Lord for strength.
Practical Advice:
**Don't Leave Prematurely**: Unless God tells you to leave, stand firm in your job, business, studies, or even your country. Prosperity comes from God's blessing, not the status of your location.
**Right Motivation**: Labour for God out of love, not for human recognition. Be cheerful in your service to the Lord, and ensure your actions are to please Him, not men.
**Continued Faithfulness**: Keep on praying, giving your resources and time, preaching, doing God's work, and inviting others to church. God is the one who gives the increase.
Conclusion:
Mark 10:29-30
29 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel
30 will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and fields-
