Michael Mosley's tragic journey: Map reveals his journey through the mountains under the merciless sun before tragically 'falling' to his death, as questions grow over how rescuers failed to find him during the five-day search.
So sad ,so sad. R.I.P Michael Mosley
I feel the same way, it has hit me hard, cant get it off my mind and what he went through. Its a very tragic, horrendous and bizarre story that doesnt make sence, raises so many queations 😢💔
I do wish more holidayers carried whistles (those bright orange, plastic, very loud ones that mountain rescuers use). They cost almost nothing
Also a local paper map.
Dr. Mosley was obviously very unwell though, so tragic. 💐🧡🌿
This is just so tragic! I’m so sad about his unnecessary passing. I don’t know why, but it has hit me hard. Maybe because it could have been avoided.
People, PLEASE do NOT even go to the beach in high 30C’s & 40C+ heat unless it is before 10am (unless it is that hot then) or in the evening!! Why were TWO doctors on the beach in the middle of the day in such a heatwave?? He said he felt unwell when he left his wife. He could have had the beginnings of heatstroke then? It’s very likely, because he took a wrong turn so may have been disorientated already? There are so many ‘if onlys’: If only someone had gone with him. If only he had his phone on him. If only he had more water or electrolytes on him. If only he’d taken a water taxi. I know all these are pointless now, but I hope it helps save someone else’s life. I’m in Australia, & am very heat aware. If I’m gutted by his death, imagine the pain & grief his family are going through. Deep condolences to them. May he RIP. 😥💔🕯️🕊️
This is so sad,a really nice guy
That computer voice is so hard to listen to with its weird cadence.
Yes and mispronounced words!
I suspect he may have had a brain aneurysm or something medical. Because he was too knowledgeable for this to just happen. This is truly a great loss to the world. It’s a terrible reminder that we cannot take our next breath for granted. May his loving family be comforted by their wonderful memories.
What was he thinking? Such a sensible, knowledgeable man! I just don’t understand how this happened.
I am Australian, heatstroke is very serious and can make anyone disoriented…anyone goggle it…sometimes we are already dehydrated and not know it…and of course stay our of the sun btwn 10-3pm! Very very sad😂
I'm also from Australia and I know how extremely hot 40c is. With all his medical knowledge and experience it makes no sense to me that he would walk alone in such extreme heat, especially when he had said he was not feeling well. Coming from England he would know he wasn't acclimatised. Such an unnecessary tragedy.
@@paulineryan579 Can nothing but agree💔
@@paulineryan579 agree completely and walking with a black umbrella!!! We all know that umbrellas trap heat and being black…so sad…and an island with no trees…omg…would have been intense heat…🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈
yes it's a shame put let it drop now
I don't think the public should be able to walk over this hard terrain full stop, let alone cut corners to get somewhere, where he ended up he couldn't even get through the railings, he'd of have to have walked even further to the gate to get in. What was he thinking!! No phone, no drink, no other person to help. This video shows how rugged the footing is,, your just asking for trouble. Prayers to his family
Route makes no sense at all.
In such ferocious heat it is baffling. Definitely not an accidental `wrong turn' given the all too obvious route from Symi by road he and his wife had taken earlier that day.
When did he and his wife previously walk to Agia Marina?

One of his last decisions of his life was to lie down and raise legs to combat dizziness from nearing circulatory collapse.
This implies functional cognition. But why the terrible earlier decisions then??
And incomplete autopsy organ survey!!
Deciding to holiday on a barren landscape full of rubble and rocks makes no sense at all.

Except to the "rich and famous" who thrive on such arrogant (convoluted, unconventional) overconsumption.
A catalogue of poor decisions and I'm so sorry.
If only .....
Well it's a sentimental saying, taken from a Noel Coward song, who was known for his witty, cheeky lyrics. Some of his songs are very enjoyable, e.g: in the Woody Allen movie 'Midnight in Paris'.
But no compassionate person would attribute it nastily to Dr. Mosley. 🌿😔. (replying to commenter stananders474).
From his behavior it appears he was suffering from heatstroke which causes disorientation, worsened by dehydration.
Blowing whistles gets you a one way ticket
Who is that on the strecher not Michael Mosley, thank god, we wouldn't want to see that, RIP
I think someone from the rescue crew broke his leg, heard something like that
That was one of the Greek search party, who got heatstroke and feinted. Luckily he was part of a group, and so got attention pretty quickly.
A customer heard a call for help, but that wasn’t followed up when it was announced the next day that he’d gone missing? Why have cctv if it’s not checked daily?
Oh really!! Havent heard that!
'Mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun'. This saying goes back 100s of years. It means Englishmen are ?
Makes no sence why Englishmen di this.
No AI voice, please!!! So many mispronounced words.
