Gonna be real: This fight was EASIER than Eggman's. And that's mainly because there's more than exactly one worthwhile way to hit him in both phases. Yeah, he has instant kills, but they're simple enough to avoid if you keep a level head. The headbutt attack even pops you up into the air for a last chance adjustment if you didn't expect the floor beneath its arms to be destroyed. And most mercifully, they happen at a reasonably short pace, meaning that he cycles through attacks fairly often and gives you more chances to hit him back. Another quality that might have something to do with it is that they only had to worry about one character when building the fight rather than one of four characters, potentially all four at the same time. They didn't have to account for the drop dash, hammers, gliding or flight. They just had to make sure Trip's double jump was enough to clear something. Hell, I was having a genuinely nice time with it once I got the rhythm down and just wished he chose more attacks I could hit him during. Is it a good sonic boss? Absolutely not lmao. But by god is it a contender for the best boss in this game. Though it must be said that the only other competition is the fight with the Prototypes.
Teacher: The test isn't hard. The test:
Kid: *tries to use Google*
Teacher: Nice try smartass, this is a combative test. You will have to face me 1 on 1!
4:36 OH MY GOD THAT JUMP!!!! I WILL TRY IT NOW!!!
Update: I'm still too bad and fail being caught on those webs. Hate this game! Only need that boss fight and final story for platinum.
Did you beat it yet
@@MisterRegretti yes I did back then! Was pure torture
By only seeing this...
I REALLY want to confront the Arzest employee that decided to make 99% of Fang's attacks insta-kill!!
9:03 nothing is as satisfying as seeing Fang Go Splat into the screen.
For so flipping real! That jerboa must die!
Some blood could have been added for more satisfaction. That shit drove me crazy.
Trip in Sonic Superstars
So true
4:15 can see the inspiration from the sparkster (rocket knight) games. Cool final boss though 😎
More like a trauma

One thing I like about this boss is that he makes you create a strategy and calculate the right moment to hit fang
This Boss Fight Was So Hard To Beat
Worst boss
Agreed. I spent 2 hours on this and was lucky to EVER kill him in a single day.
Not the worst boss but definitely most annoying
This boss is my favorite lmao
