Tbh, date of sale of bike isn't long back. If the battery caused issue, then there's 3 people to be held accountable. 1st, the seller who had no clue of the machine's battery he's selling. 2nd the mechanic who missed checking for the battery during thorough checkup servicing. 3rd the owner who trusted blindly on the above two mentioned person instead of himself making sure of everything. From your updates, we know there's more bad news to come (bike loading in truck update). The prep maybe wasn't up to the mark for a Ladakh ride, if it was wouldn't have caused problems in the initial days. But most importantly, what matters more than the machine, the ride, is the safety of both persons. Hope you both are safe at your current position. Everything else can be achieved later but health and safety is priority.
