This video features an Alstom Movia R151, 851/852, which is from CHD to serve EWL for the PM Rush Hours, from EW29 Joo Koon to EW27 Boon Lay.
After 851/852 was last seen conducting its last stages of testing (which is the full EWL testing during the daytime) on 16/6/2024, 851/852 would make its revenue service debut on the East-West Line! Even though 803/804 was seen testing earlier than 851/852, 851/852 made its debut earlier than 803/804.
Not sure what happened to 803/804 that caused it not to do its main EWL daytime test after doing its TWE sector daytime test on 8/6/2024. Probably got last minute problems that forced 803/804 to be in more maintenance? Anywhere, it has been a while since a new R151 trainset entered Revenue Service (the last being 813/814 on 10/6/2024).
851/852 was seen earlier on EWL during the AM Rush Hours as Run 335 which only does 1/2 trip back into CHD. Came out again for the PM Rush Hours and would still return back into CHD late at night.
851/852 is also the 25th R151 to debut in Revenue Service. It was supposed to be 803/804 but this R151 started Revenue Service earlier (since 851/852 did its final stage of testing earlier than 803/804 somehow).
But now we all know that 803/804 is projected to be the 26th R151 to debut in Revenue Service!
