Codes for mach3 are m10, and m20, on and off DTHC, respectively.
Awesome how to tutorial. Gonna be cutting clean soon! Basically a poor mans version of the "True hole" technology.

Hi, Thanks for creating this & your other videos.
I have some questions regarding this video.
Re: "On all corners" tighter than 45deg & tighter than 90deg, Can you please explain this a bit more?
The reason I ask is that when you chose "all corners tighter than 45deg, the rule is applied to all the corners, some of which are greater than 90deg.
Then when you added the "tighter than 90deg rule" this is applied to the first corner which is sharper than the second corner which has the 45deg rule.
Am I right in thinking that the "tighter than 45deg rule" would be for corners between 0deg + 45deg?
Because the first corner is visibly more than 45deg.
Also, I have been trained to do all my outside cuts in a clockwise rotation as opposed to anti-clockwise rotation (Using Hypertherm PM85 Plasma.
Thanks again for producing a great piece of software :-)
    Regards Dunk

Is there a way in sheetcam path rules where you can turn thc off completely. What would the path rule look like?

Create a code snippet with whatever codes are neded to turn off THC. Create 'On start' rule that uses your code snippet and set the distance to 0.

@@LesNewell thanks. Played around long enough to figure that out. Snippets allowed me to turn it off. Thankyou for the reply.

Interesting! Why would you want to turn the thc off for tight corners?

    • @LesNewell
      @LesNewell 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

The machine has to slow down for corners. This can confuse the THC and make the torch dive into the work.

THC on/off codes. I use mach3 and the codes M999 and M998 don't work. Do you happen to know what these codes should be for Mach3. I wish I could get rid of the torch diving problem at the end of the cut. You make it look sooooo easy.

You need to make your own macros on your Mach3 machine, in my case I use M798 and M799 for THC On/Off
Search the web there are lots of details on how to do it.
