2008 First Church of the Nazarene in Pasadena, CA. The event was the Southern California Conference of Seventh-day Adventist, GLAR (Greater Los Angeles Region (African American Region's) Annual Convocation. Mrs. Hawkins was in Concert in the Evening. This was her first time meeting Mr. Mackey, and at rehearsal they hit it off. I have seen Stevie sing duets with many famous singers. He was a humble and confident spirit. Stevie has a way of respecting folks he works with and is not obtrusive. He has such an intuitive spirit. He never looks to upstage anyone, he feels what his place should be and just seeks to minister and uplift God! He was in awe to sing with the great Tremain that evening and Tremaine truly welcomed and enjoyed the experience and the opportunity to minister. . Amazing talent..amazing soul and a master of the profession! A true Christian professional!! They both we a Blessing that evening.
