Cool how people have so different experience with the same game) We HOWLED from Yagluth and spent a significant chunk of time beating him😂 But loved every second of it; for me, personally, Yag was the moment Valheim truly showed its teeth
I'm just a casual player, but love the efficiency tips of speed runs, so thank you so much for this guide. I will probably use some more of the strats you've shown, like switching to the hammer for no animation of weapon sheathing. One question though; on one of my last deaths in the mountains, I noticed that the corpse run buff made it so I wasn't using any stam while sprinting, even without Eikthyr buff. Has the corpse run been buffed more? I'm guessing it was because I was running down a decline, so there wasn't enough stam usage to even bring up a stam bar, but I could swear I also had no stam bar while also running up a slight incline. I was just sprinting continuously for the entire corpse run duration and I don't remember that happening in the past. Granted, I try not to die at all, so my experience with corpse run is fairly limited.
How many of these Boss fight techniques have been patched by the Devs recently? Or are they all still as shown? Specifically, I'm asking about Bonemass.
you can jump on a crypt by jumping on one of the torches than on the top, you don't need to place a workbench at it's back easy way to fight a melee skeleton (even a 2star one with bare hands) is just to wait for it's attack animation to start and just step away from it
Looks like the devs plugged the Eithyr campfire strat - or I was just really unlucky. The skies opened up as soon as I summoned Eikthyr. One moment it was clear skies, next it was downpour. Campfires ruined, no go. In the end I took ages using a dagger and bow.

is there a speedrun with zero abuse that doesnt brake game immersion? as in this case u can just take the seed and godmode clip thru and explore all map, mark and then start the speed run/glitch run with all the info, which again brakes immersion.
It will take some retraining but I am now going to rebind my build menu from Mouse 2 to a different mouse button. So many times I have gone to dodge with my hammer out and gotten smacked in the face. :D

Great video man, alot of rly new stuff that I previously didnt know about, so I rly appreciate it... Im also happy to report that you CAN actually clip onto the roof of a burial chamber using a sitting log, this is done by clipping the log into the side wall beside the entrance ramp, sitting down, clipping through, and then standing on the sitting log and jumping up onto the roof (I've seen it mostly used for clearing huge distances with the feather cape)
Just got to the part of combining eikthyr and corpse run, this helped me get away from 2 1star drauger archers in a crypt last night, I ran in with nothing but the eikthyr buff after dying and snuck up got my shit and they noticed me as i was putting my gear on so with 40 seconds left on corpse run i started dodge rolling to not get 1 shot by the archers and made it to the exit and had just enough corpse run and eikthyr to make it out of the swamp without using any stamina, was just non stop sprint for 30 seconds

Unpopular opinion: Speed runners and competetive gamers that jack the graphics/settings down for "best performance" are the kind of gamers (that exploit it on the internet) that ruin gaming for the peeps that appreciate taking it all in w/ a game.
Me on day 72 with full upgraded bronze finally killing the elder in a close fight. Also Nick on day 0.7 with 10 rocks and a fucking stick

the game isn't finished, when its finished then its speedrunnable, but for now its just strats that are up in the air.

How do you jump on a golems head while freezing to pick axe it? I guess to save time... at that point, just avoid em...
Elder, just go down a hill and fire up at him, he wont go down hills quickly. Fire arrows are pretty cheap to craft
That Video is so helpful for some extra techiques even if i will never speedrun the game. But maybe i'm not going to die so much in the future 😅
i cant get the rested buff while enemys are nearby so idk how you got the buff in that 1x1 house with the wyverns outside

Many of these strategies are against the rules of the Tyr challenge, you can't rely on hacks/clipping quirks etc
