I started using apple cider vinegar in my water when I realized low stomach acid can disturb mineral absorption. Cast iron pots and pans are best to cook in while getting additional iron in your food. Collagen supplements and pearl powder, and lysine and chelated zinc for hair, as well as selenium for hair. (Rice water is great for hair growth as well) If it’s a bleed then that’s the problem, but if it’s a mineral absorption issue, bio salts and ACV. (Definitely look up some stuff from Dr. Eric Berg, he has a TH-cam channel with all kinds of helpful tips on many health related issues!) God bless you and I wish you the very best in finding a solution! Keep fighting the good fight, you will overcome this! 🙏❤
@@tanmack8655 I agree with you. I am going to find a hematologist and get the right labs done and I can’t afford to start from scratch with my hair again
@Osa.OsulaTV My iron level ( saturation)was 6. My iron serum was 24,and my ferritin level was 15. I have to follow up in a few weeks to get retested, and they said I may need another one in 6 months. I feel at least 60 percent better as far as my energy levels.
@@MyeshaB wow. I need to find a hematologist asap. Listen I know that 60% feel so much better compared to where you were. How did you know to seek out a hematologist?

Incredibly frustrating. I’m going to get a second opinion. She is saying I’m in normal ranges I’m at 12 a person with anemia is below 11.6 she is just looking at the numbers and not listening to my symptoms. That’s what makes me the most upset.
My ferritin and D were on the lower end as well. I had excessive hair shedding, exhaustion and shortness of breath. My GP gaslit me and it took a NP with a speciality in menopause to listen to me and believe me. She told me I was on the right track ( I did my own research) with taking digestive enzymes/Betaine hcl, adding extra D, and floradix ( or gaia plantforce iron), a multivitamin in addition to eating more red meat, organ meat, duck, goat, and shellfish. My levels are gradually rising and am feeling better. Bloodwork doesn't show optimal levels, most doctors only care about normal ranges. The hair shedding is slowing down and it has gotten thicker. It isn't growing as slowly anymore. Low iron can cause low stomach acid.
@@jdbailey442 thank you for this. She makes me feel like I’m crazy and make it all up. Glad and sad to read other women are experiencing this. We have to take matters into our own hands to get back on track. Glad you are recovering!
Look up the recommended diet for iron anemia. Red meats aren't the only iron-rich food source and too much can have disadvantages; also, beans, nuts, dark greens and some seeds. Eating foods rich in vitamin C with iron rich foods increases iron absorption. Also, avoid ingesting caffeine or calcium rich foods at the same time as (or within 2 hours of) iron rich foods because they can reduce or block iron absorption. Hope this helps 🙏🏾
I watched a video that dr.sebi made many years ago on the mineral/plant based compound iron flourine. He listed off all the herbs that have these minerals that bring more oxygen to the blood. I looked everywhere for the herbs, many of them aren’t available in my city.I found a UK based couple who have an alkaline products company and they actually made a tea with this herb list. I’m on my 5th container in the last 3 years, the tea smells bad but my hemoglobin, ferritin is high. Check out the uterus tea and the iron fluorine tea from Eat To Live/ Mutulu! I make sure I buy 2 containers and drink it everyday until I’m back to normal and then 3 times a week. I also replace the tea as water in my smoothies. It’s a game changer!
I'm sorry you're dealing with this and I can totally relate. My hair has been breaking, thinning and shedding for years. My ferritin was 7 and my iron was 16 so the hematologist prescribed 2 iron transfusions in November and will have blood work 12/21. I'm taking progesterone to control excessive bleeding during periods but a hysterectomy is recommended. I just want to feel like myself again.
@@MyeshaBI had been having extremely heavy periods and found out in September I have fibroids. I was so miserable with the bleeding I had decided to do the hysterectomy but now that I'm taking progesterone it has the bleeding under control. If I can't get the anemia under control I am leaning towards UFE because it's less invasive.

Get a pure copper pitcher (not the fake one). Drinkin copper water helps iron absorption & other benefits. Try this & hopefully you have some positive changes that helps. Another thing you can try is a tsp of evoo on a empty stomach to help absorb what your eatin & supplements like the beef liver. Coconut oil is good for ppl too which ever works for you.
