I haven't done enough to have a go-to but I'm looking forward to running with my 50 1.4 and 100 2.8 for my next wedding or event. Other times I've pretty much rolled with my pair of F4 zooms mostly. Switching to primes when I knew I needed the faster lenses. Great video! Looking forward to seeing more of your stuff!
The 50 and 100 sound like a great duo. The good thing is those lenses are fast, so you shouldn't miss a shot. Let me know how you make out. Thanks for the comment.
For a number of years during my 16 plus years of digital photography, i was involved in event photography. I had a full time job as a State Corrections officer, and I was asked to photograph the Memorial day event along with other projects for the facility that I worked at. As time went on, i photographed a variety of different events including weddings, i had no assistant or second photographer, because of this i used a variety of different lens depending upon the event .on top of the 35mm and 85mm, i used a 24-70 F2.8 and the widest 20mm and a semi fish eye zoom lens from Pentax. I found that 35mm was not wide enough and 85mm was not long enough, so i used a variety of prime and zoom lens on a full frame and APSC camera bodies.
@@jamesmlodynia8757 that’s the beauty of photography. We all have different ways to tell a story. Zooms are not bad. I just prefer to use primes. It’s great you found a solution that works for your style. Keep shooting bro. 📸
I also ride the 35 and 85 combo for weddings too . The zoom makes the job easier but the primes produce images that stands out .
@@OkwyUgonweze This setup is so light and quick. Makes my day a breeze.
Thank you for sharing this. 😊
Absolutely @@Mraz75 thanks for watching.
