@@billk9799 Technicality isn't always a good thing. Chuck focused on technics after "Leprosy" and lost the art of music from his view, while Quorthon was developing as an artist. Unfortunately, Chuck tried to reach Andy LaRocque's technical skills and that was his mistake. And I don't think that Chuck could come up with acoustic guitars like Quorthon did. That's why I consider Quorthon a better musician than Chuck, especially that Quorthon wasn't afraid of playing other genres, like on solo albums.

2:40 Ive always liked the menacing sort of subtle riffing in this part. Later there is also a little harmony hidden in the mix when the verse riff hits. Its barely audible but once you hear it every cover of this song that lacks it feels incomplete. Then there's the rythmical gallop riff part which has this feeling of the pulse of the song quickening. Which is something you almost never hear in music. Its hard to tell if its intentional but for me it makes the music feel very organic and alive. Unhinged. Its an ecstatic berserker rage in music form. And Quorthon's lyrics are actually pretty intelligent. It reminds me of an extremely pissed off William Blake. Edit: "actually pretty intelligent" because i generally don't have high expectations on metal lyrics. When listening to power metal for example its better to just ignore them.
