You can do it that way also, but inside CC4 you can just hide the mesh and then if you export it to a external software just select "Delete Hidden Faces" and it will delete them for you.
Actor Build is more for background characters or characters that don't need high level of detail from my understanding. They are fully functional and even have facial animation capability.
A hint for Unity game developers: this is useless if you convert the character into ActorBuild. The hidden mesh comes back and there is no option for Hidden mesh. GameBase model has that option, but GameBase model can't have any facial expressions in iClone8. Something might work here, but at the end it won't work there. Zero value. I don't get Reallusion's logic. You need either ActorBuild or GameBase model to work in Unity.
Yeah, but I wonder will it recognize what was hidden in the Base character (that accepts Hidden mesh), before converting it into ActorBuild 😏The hidden mesh becomes visible again in ActorBuild model and yet I should just click the option "Delete hidden faces" on export. I'll try soon and report
@@zumbalexxo It will work if you do it like that. Export after clicking delete hidden faces..but you have to make sure you select the clothing and then hide the mesh it covers before exporting.
I can't first click "Delete hidden faces" (where is that button in ActorBuild?) and then export. The Delete hidden faces option is only available on export window. So, here's what I have done: 1) I have an CC3+ Extended_base model. I hide the mesh under the character's shirt. 2) Convert Extended_base model into ActorBuild (because the GameBase facial animations don't work in iClone8 so I have to use ActorBuild). 3) Now in CC4 I have an ActorBuild model that has the previously removed mesh under the shirt standing out again. 4) If I now export this model and click "Delete hidden faces", it still has the mesh coming through the shirt in Unity. 5) Praise Reallusion for wasting my time over and over again on these kinds of ridiculous problems that has no solution anywhere 😭
@@zumbalexxo If you don't mind. You can s send me the model so I can see what you are going through. Or make a video and show me what you're doing. If I can help I will.
como puedo eliminar una maya del personaje ? sin ocultarla !!

When i export to iClone the hide parts again show up. How do i fix this?
how you do if you just want a head? with no clothes?
You hide the whole body and leave the head and then when you export select to delete hidden mesh.
What exactly is the difference between actorbuild and standard?

Great share , @getfanmedia

Or you can delete hidden faces on export from Character Creator. :)
