Great video man, I had bought a curado DC from bass pro less than a week ago, I took it out fishing for the first time on a kayak and flipped over. Lost my curado in 12ft of water and I had to leave because of a storm. I went back to the lake with some metal stringers and I found it in the water. It was underwater for 24 hours and was filthy. This was the perfect video, it literally feels just as good as it did straight out the box a week ago. Thank you so much 🙏 a lifesaver
Overall this was a very good video. Much better than the last one I watched for this reel. If I may, can I make a couple of suggestions? First, and especially for someone new to doing this, always download a schematic for the exact model reel you’re working on. Very helpful. Secondly, I do not like using the cup to put small parts in. Again, for someone new to this, it’s important to lay each piece out in order as it’s removed. This really helps with knowing what order each piece goes when reassembling. Last thing, on bearings I do NOT use the oil that comes with the reel on the bearings. It’s too thick. Abe DEFINITELY do not use Ardent Reel Butter on them! It is even thicker. The best lube I’ve found for bearings is “Lightning Lube” by Boca. Using this lighter oil will significantly increase casting distance. Also, each bearing only needs one drop. You were correct, however, oil the Anti-Reverse (ARB) bearing. It does better with a slightly higher viscosity oil. Again, a great video! I only make these suggestions to possibly help others. I certainly meant no disrespect to you at all. Tight lines!
thats a lot of grease. i open mine up, remove the grease and dry the drag washers and then add a drop of oil. the more grease you have the more grit can stick to it. had an old timer rod and reel repair man tell me that when he repaired a reel i tried to repair when i was a kid. ive learned and do my own now and i have took his words to heart and have had smooth working reels since.
My friend, I have a reel that no longer brakes. Everything works except the brake with the star. No matter how much I press it, it doesn't brake at all. I would appreciate your guidance on this matter. Best regards.
@@GoneFishingWithEd bah friend, the problem is that I'm from Brazil and this site doesn't deliver to my location, I really needed to know the dimensions of each drag disc, I can't buy it on this site!!!

Damn, wonder if i missed that extra washer when i put my reels back together last season.
Take it back apart and check.. if you did you can buy another one and fix it.
A bit late but you’re actually missing two springs that sit on those little posts. 17:43
Never mind didn’t even see you take them off 😂
Friend, I need to change my drag discs, and I don't know the correct measurements to buy, can you tell me?
