How does an elevator react to you trying to open the door with a triangle key, or drop key when the elevator is at your floor? Do the shaft and car doors separate? If this is the case, how do you open the car door? Do you force it open? Or are both doors attached the whole time, and the doors resist opening, and require a lot of force to open?
upanddownadventures On some lifts when the saftey brakes it opens its doors and closes them. But most lifts do nothing. Usually the inner and outer doors are attached which means that it takes a bit of effort to open them. I have not come across one that resists being opened while at a floor, but most do this when shoving the inner door while moving.
I bet the doors react normally once they are manually opened and you press the door open or for close button? I am guessing once your inside the lift it doesn't really care that you got in that way and just works normally.
1:53 These lift buttons look similar to the Evans/Otis lifts in the Swan Walk shopping centre in Horsham before it got modernised in 2014.

2:12 the lift there has the same indicator as the Schindler 3300 that I found.

The modernised Otis lifts in Gravesend have the same voice and indicator as the last ones - I wonder what company makes these parts and controllers?
