This video was originally posted on October 30th and it was supposed to be a Halloween special but it got blocked worldwide 20 hours after being published (due to a copyright claim). So i re-edited it and re-uploaded it as "unlisted" and waited 8 days to make sure that TH-cam wouldn't block it again. I hope i'm on the clear now. I didn't want to let all this work to go to waste and that's why i'm posting it a second time, sorry for the déjà vu haha.
This was Edgar Wright's loveletter to George A. Romero, the godfather of the zombie genre. His original zombie trilogy (Night of the Living Dead 1968, Dawn of the Dead 1978, Day of the Dead 1985) is a horror masterpiece and absolutley invented all of the modern zombie tropes.
There was even a little bit of the Goblin music from Dawn in this movie as well as the stomach guts scene Romero was known for and the head being pulled off like in Day. Btw, the trilogy became a quadrilogy in 2005 with Land of the Dead.
"We're coming to get you, Barbara.." is a line from the 1968 black and white film, Night of the Living Dead, which pretty much kicked off the whole zombie genre. Not the first zombie movie, but certainly the most popular to that time.
Watched it several times, many more reaction videos. Yet it's the frst time I noticed that in the address book, the restaurant is literally advertized as 'the place that does all the fish'. Talk about Easter eggs and attention to detail, mind-blowing.
So we have a bloody Thanksgiving movie instead. That's fine with me -- This is such a good movie, it can be watched anytime. And that intro was so well done! Hard work, but I was amazed. Thank you!
btw, the witch hat is fun, and you're wearing it well because as much as you love your hair, it does really look great. your hair, I mean. the hat is fine.
Agreed! Amanda has a wonderful cinematic sense as well as a dark sense of humor. I wish she would do some sketch comedy. But it’s a lot of work, so I understand if she doesn’t want to do it.

Ah, but it IS the first "modern" zombie movie... Romero's "flesh eating" zombies defined what movie audiences thought zombies were.
As well as the other 2 in the Trilogy, there is also "Paul". It has the two main actors playing the lead roles.

Hey, I've been listening to a bunch of history stuff, and all the 12th+ century stuff was happening in northern France!
The shot of the garden zombie girl's hole makes no sense because the shot is clearly in the middle where her spine should be but it's clearly missing.
Can't believe you've not watched "Hot Fuzz" or "The World's End", the next 2 movies starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, unrelated sequels.
