I have to agree with Kev. The act of giving a gift isn't about the practicality of the gift. I believe it's giving someone something that they wouldn't buy for themselves. Because being a mom/wife and taking care of a household makes you feel like certain things are frivolous. But for someone who loves to give gifts we get joy from seeing you open that gift.
