Oh yeah. Even at Mac and Riley's worst it's just mission-oriented bickering. I mean she looked so proud of him for so many of his ideas. Desi was...mean. She belittled him more than once for no reason, expressed disdain for his interests, hobbies, thought processes and ideas...it was so weird: it felt distinctly as though the writers wanted you to dislike their relationship but then it just kept dragging ON and ON through so many red flags. The communist party didn't have that many red flags! Desi was okay individually, but them together gave me legit anxiety. Yuck.
After reading the interview with Monica and her saying that Mac and Riley were going to be endgame I screamed in the restaurant. We are all fighting for them and a 6th season they are true soulmates and I will continue fighting tooth and nail for them to get together and the kiss I have been waiting since season 1 for them to get together and even longer for them to kiss we need to see that and for everyone else to get there happy ending. I think we will definitely get a 6th season just don’t know when but I do believe if we keep doing what where doing we will get a 6th season. CBS Has to have taken noticed with all our billboards and all the signed petitions all the emails and of course all the paper clips we have sent them they have to have at least noticed and at least give us what we want. #SaveMacgyver. #MacRiley

For me, the series was going to have more seasons and that is why they made it only in season 6 to advance the love between Mac and Riley. But for various reasons they had to cut the series this season. PD: That is the illusion that I have in my head because in the end the chemistry that they both had is amazing. It's as if Felicity and Oliver (Arrow) hadn't ended up together, it would have been a sin like what they did with MacRiley!

The reason so many good shows fail in the last couple of seasons is because the show writers take too damn long getting our favorite couples together. They waited 5 whole seasons before even hinting at these 2 getting together, so we lose interest. Same thing happened with The Rookie, they spent 4 seasons getting Tim and Lucy together, now that they are together there's almost no good scenes with them as an actual couple and people (me included) are losing interest. geez, play around with other significant others for a couple of seasons then give us what we want so the ratings stay good.

I just finished watching this show and I’m so sad it got canceled… such a great mix of action romance funny and serious moments! Not gonna lie I started shipping Riley and Mac from the beginning and not being able to see how their future goes especially after the last ep s5 is so sad. After watching 5 seasons people make connections with these characters… I hope some day we’ll get more!
Watching this made me mad all over again at CBS for canceling this show! And what season 6 would have give!!! Just one more season not even, just an episode or 2 would have given us a MacRiley in the next season.

Just my theory. So at about 7:46, Riley says it's 6:03 and had they kept the show going, Macriley would have been together in season 6 episode 3.
