Morris Marinas arriving at the Oxford Bus Museum

A convoy of Morris Marinas finished at the Oxford Bus and Morris Motors Museum after visiting the Cowley plant for the 50th anniversary of the model. Video was taken on 10th July 2021.

Had two of these cars. Took me where I wanted to go. Cheap and easy to work on,not that I had to do that often. Just made sure I had the regular kryton tune and keep those trunions greased, although I did up grade those on my second Marina.
I have fond memories of mine and I never ever worried about them not starting.

Nice video of these classic Morris Marinas although I believe the first car in the convoy was a Morris Ital judging by the square headlamps.
The Marina wasn't actually a bad car to be honest, it was easy to maintain & work on.
A pity it retained the Morris Minor type front suspension of torsion bars/lever units/trunions etc when it was introduced back in 1971 which you had to keep greased although many owners did upgrade to telescopic damper units which were easier to maintain.
Am glad Jeremy Clarkson wasn't there to drop pianos on those Marinas! He needs a piano dropping on his head that he does!

Remember mate bought a 1.8 tc limeflower in colour took me out in it to Warwick that car went like stink very impressive performance .Hard ti find now I always like the turquoise t.c 1800s

First car was a Morris Ital Het There Eventually. My mate's hrandad had a Morris Marina & he was surprised to see his car's rear wheel pass him as he was driving alonh!
