this manga is called 못난이 공녀가 되었습니다 (translated as I Became an Ugly Princess), alternate titles are "I Became the Ugly Lady" and "I Woke Up as an Ugly Duckling."
I suggest "I'll Save this Damned Family" if you like this series. Personally, I suggest this because the protagonist in "I'll Save This Damned Family" worked hard and not get things her way so easily because of magically convenient powers. But to each their own.
I still enjoyed this series (I Became an Ugly Princess), it's a feel-good seeing how fantasy wishes come true with no real struggle.

Agreed. Entertaining as they once were, I too am getting tired of the "overpowered MC" fantasy trope. So many stories coming out now have the MC just magically (no pun intended) getting super abilities from the start. There is no hero's journey, no obstacles to overcome, no personal character growth. The protagonist is just "better" than any foe or calamity they come across. It kills the dramatic tension.

I have been reading mangas for over 20 years. The artwork was always good. But these new manhwas from South Korea are GORGEOUS! The colors are vibrant, the details are lovely, and the stories they tell are somewhat common (and repeated, lol) but there are subtle differences that make them charming. Thank you for making these recaps. They definitely give me new material to keep an eye out for.
