Looking forward to this build. My first new bike was a 1984 XL250R which was very cool back then. I know showing my age. I sold Honda’s for several years and always wanted them to build a 450 because the 650L was just so old school and never updated. I’m glad they finally did even though I’m almost 50 now. Better late than never. I would still like to have one. I know you will make it cool but please tell us how it stacks up to the 450R. Honda has a habit of denutting the street legal models. This one looks like maybe they got it right. I recommend trying a rear view camera to eliminate the need for mirrors. Honda uses them on the right hand mirror of their cars and it’s pretty cool. I was at the Tampa Supercross last year. Glad to see you are all healed up and racing again.
blacked out with some sweet red anodized accents would be sick. Doing the red chrome in new graphics would be great too. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the build!
I added a whole bunch of Works Connections anodized goodies along with their hour meter and radiator braces. The cool thing about the hour meter is that it has a Tachometer too. I also put Acerbis X-Factory hand guards on as well👍🏻 I love the bike.
Get an fmf pipe or a Yoshimura pipe ,the stock one looks like a boat anchor haha ,I even put a single side fmf pipe on my 2017 450 crf Honda saved 5 lbs and the bike really came alive ,I think since your a factory Honda guy you would have to have a Yoshi pipe on it,good luck this year and hope your project turns out awesome
They fill the swing arm to keep the bike from being as buzzy at high speed. Honestly I'd just grind the tabs off or have someone do that so you can keep the swing arm. Super cool build ideas look forward to the next video!
awesome video cole, you should have whoever goes to the races with you just help out with recording your videos behind the scenes! good luck this season
Nice project & interesting to watch obviously. After watching this tho I'm even 'glader' I have a 500EXC! The wiring is minimal on the EXC & no 'swingarm tabs'.
I always wanted to do that.I would test different tires for certain purposes.Like fat tires and the rims the same sizes. To ride sand at the beach then hit the road then a trail.
Cool , build . I think to keep it street legal in California , you need that chain guard for CHP write off . That's been a big kicker in dual sporting off-road ones sometimes .
Hey Cole, I don't if it has been mentioned to you yet but I would do some Cerakote on some parts you thick with get chipped from road debris. It will not chip and super hard ceramic that also cleans up easy, even road tar. They have any color!
Must be nice to be able to just scrap and cut things off haha I just got done rebuilding my 2 stroke I too did black on black, it just looks too good only down side is it shows every imperfect, looking forward to seeing the final product
super jealous. I got a fleeing and eluding felony charge on my old kx250 and eventually costed me 10+ k in fees + classes +license for 10 years... man I wish I had one of those back in the day lol .btw Love my red bike..2018 crf250r .
Hey coles great video brother but off-topic are I seen that you got your Ford Super Duty exhaust done plus tune with the EZ lynk can you tell me is there a big difference in sound and who did the tune please and how are the shifting points thanks bro
I’ve always wanted a Street legal moto style dirt bike I had a buddy that had one and it was the funnest thing I’ve ever Road on the street not the fastest but it was a lot of fun but your right I always felt like I was going to get in trouble but my buddy got pulled over a few times because they thought it was just a dirt bike
Once it's done I think itd be sick to put some motocross tyres on it and do a lap comparison to your race bike to see how much of a difference there is
exploring on a dual sport and finding riding spots OR riding in WMA's were dirt bikes aren't allowed is the best part. fold away mirrors if you have to have a mirror. If you're going to ride down any gnarly trails, skid plate and bark busters even though moto people hate them. BAJA designs headlight.
How can I make my 2019 Crf 450L push start instead of initial start by key i don't like it i like the push start just like my crf 250 2017 so can you help me????
I’m looking forward to the end to help you get an idea Tyler monogan has a bike with the same colors he just built that could help with your idea (not trying to shout him out or anything)
I can't think of anything to suggest really(besides things that might help depending on your type of trail ride), if it were anything like my 06 450X I'd have a long list for you haha. I'd love to own a 450L even in stock config
I just had my forks, shock, and hubs cerakoted on my 18 crf 450 and it turned out awesome, I'm just hoping it holds up. Anodizing seems like a more legit route though. I can't wait to see this thing come together with all the resources you have at your disposal. Should be sick! You doing any motor work? Cam or anything?
I dought you will see this but that’s cool to see a factory rider do build videos!! Keep it up cole
Throttle Junkiez hell yeah it is!!!
This
Seeing a Honda Factory Rider turning a wrench is always entertaining. Great Job Cole. Keep it up.
So many builds from different people lately, im not complaining!
Like the guru?

Really looking forward to this build! These bikes are awesome! Love my new Honda CRF they have really upped their game
Cool to see you do the build yourself with some friends. The end result will be way more gratifying. Looking forward to updates.
2 top 10's Good to see Cole back and Healthy.
I added a whole bunch of Works Connections anodized goodies along with their hour meter and radiator braces. The cool thing about the hour meter is that it has a Tachometer too. I also put Acerbis X-Factory hand guards on as well👍🏻 I love the bike.
Awesome. Never seen a factory racer modify a half n half. Unique.
Hell yeah such a sick bike already from factory
Get an fmf pipe or a Yoshimura pipe ,the stock one looks like a boat anchor haha ,I even put a single side fmf pipe on my 2017 450 crf Honda saved 5 lbs and the bike really came alive ,I think since your a factory Honda guy you would have to have a Yoshi pipe on it,good luck this year and hope your project turns out awesome
Best rider ever. Keep your head high and keep grinding at the races your time will come. Newps boys
They fill the swing arm to keep the bike from being as buzzy at high speed. Honestly I'd just grind the tabs off or have someone do that so you can keep the swing arm. Super cool build ideas look forward to the next video!
Subscribed! Can't wait to see how this project pans out!
absolutely can't wait to see how this turns out
Hey it’s Jeff walker
😂🤣 Glad I'm not the only one
I was just thinking this the other day 😂😂
holy shit lol
Nice build Cole. I think it would be cool to see a oversized black tank and maybe some bark busters in black aluminium.
Can't wait to see when it's finished!
Full Hinson clutch, factory kyb suspension, and works brakes. Some titanium
I love the. Black sub frames! I’d just cut the guided off and buff it back down before having it coated.
awesome video cole, you should have whoever goes to the races with you just help out with recording your videos behind the scenes! good luck this season
So looking forward to seeing how this turns out. Love your content Cole. Huge fan and I can't wait to see you race in San Diego!
Nice project & interesting to watch obviously. After watching this tho I'm even 'glader' I have a 500EXC! The wiring is minimal on the EXC & no 'swingarm tabs'.
That husky was bad ass!!!!!.....3:51 in the video
Can’t wait for this build!!
We need more videos like this!!!
Bike turned out amazing good job guys.
This is going to be rad!
Dual sports are so much fun!!
You should 100% make a numberplate holder mod because the bike with the stock numberplate holder looks a bit to tame! Love the vids keep them up! ✊
Good to see you back on the track
I always wanted to do that.I would test different tires for certain purposes.Like fat tires and the rims the same sizes. To ride sand at the beach then hit the road then a trail.
Subscribed for this build can’t wait to see what your going to do because I just got mine and I want to powder coat the frame
Gotta make it look like your factory bike and get a yoshi on that thing! But I’m glad you know how to actually work on a bike unlike most pros
Cool , build . I think to keep it street legal in California , you need that chain guard for CHP write off . That's been a big kicker in dual sporting off-road ones sometimes .
Was super excited that you uploaded a video. I cant wait to see the finish product! I was hoping to see your NSX in the background in your garage lol.
I hope it's not the new nsx
@@tom92fs it is the new nsx
That fxr in the background is cleannn
Exhaust, red hubs, asv black levers, maybe some red works connection parts.
Like, cool bike! Like, so many cool things to, like, do!
It'll be, like, cool when you're, like, done with it!
Dopest video of all time
Who else wasn't sure if this was Jeff Walker or Cole Seely ? I'm stoked to see Cole doing a bike build !!
Cole Seeley go Super Moto with the bike. A set of cool street tires all black with some red accents would look great 👍
Hey Cole, I don't if it has been mentioned to you yet but I would do some Cerakote on some parts you thick with get chipped from road debris. It will not chip and super hard ceramic that also cleans up easy, even road tar. They have any color!
Sorry about the wording above, looks like spell check butted in
If I were Cole I would give it to my mechanic and tell him to bolt every works part that will fit on it!
Sick build cole
You look exactly like Jeff walker
Haha that is funny right
The MX Guru am I right😂
Ims 3 gallon tank and a yoshimura exhaust for sure
the funniest thing was you broke the chain and then removed the swingarm. if you just took of the swingarm you could just take off the chain :)
swa jans as they’re fighting with the chain breaker I was thinking aren’t they takin g the swingarm off anyways? Lol
yep
yeah I realized that after haha
Yo Cole don’t let the brake caliper just hang there cause it could damage or stretch the brake line but love to see this thing gettin moded out
Must be nice to be able to just scrap and cut things off haha I just got done rebuilding my 2 stroke I too did black on black, it just looks too good only down side is it shows every imperfect, looking forward to seeing the final product
super jealous. I got a fleeing and eluding felony charge on my old kx250 and eventually costed me 10+ k in fees + classes +license for 10 years... man I wish I had one of those back in the day lol .btw Love my red bike..2018 crf250r .
New subscriber .. awesome bike and wicked shop you got there Iam a bit jealous as iam working out of a small 8x8 foot shed
Hey coles great video brother but off-topic are I seen that you got your Ford Super Duty exhaust done plus tune with the EZ lynk can you tell me is there a big difference in sound and who did the tune please and how are the shifting points thanks bro

Too wet to ride? Impossible.
That plated Husky flat track must friggin rail in the twisties. Sick bike.
Want to see you on the BOX soon !!! Go Cole #14
Smart build.
GL for A2 Cole.
all black babyyyyyy
Iv wanted to do a build like this for along time this is gonna be sweet...if your gonna the motor out i would look into a big bore 490 kit..
Sick video mate keep it going 👍
Man I have a DRZ400SM but I want this bike soo damn bad now. Gotta make it happen
Id be interested to see what other R model parts are transferable. Maybe the airbox, exhaust?
Hey cole im a huge fan of yours., shoutout im from philippines..
Awsome dude!
I really hope you show lacing the wheels I wanna build a wheel set so bad..
Love u bro keep it up ur my favorite rider
Need s some candy red somewhere like the springs on the race bikes. Maybe rocker or hangers
Once it's done I think itd be sick to put some motocross tyres on it and do a lap comparison to your race bike to see how much of a difference there is
That’s a dope bike I’d buy it
I know exactly what your talking about with the riding the bike down the street after you wash it thing 😂
You should honestly do a 2 stroke build !
exploring on a dual sport and finding riding spots OR riding in WMA's were dirt bikes aren't allowed is the best part. fold away mirrors if you have to have a mirror. If you're going to ride down any gnarly trails, skid plate and bark busters even though moto people hate them. BAJA designs headlight.
Looks good I think you should kinda make a factory 450l
this will be cool to see
If I was Cole I'm pretty sure an HRC race motor would be missing off the hauler and swapped into this lol
This makes me want one!
I see that picture of bubba in the background Cole!
How can I make my 2019 Crf 450L push start instead of initial start by key i don't like it i like the push start just like my crf 250 2017 so can you help me????
Do you want to keep it quiet?
Otherwise a dual exhaust conversion would be nice.
This is so bad ass!!!
Big thing I’m waiting to see what people do is the the ECU. if you will get a vortex or GET or WHAT!!!
all black would look mad
Are you going with a bigger gas tank for the build?
You should take it to the test track and compare the ride to your race bike for comparison.
I’m looking forward to the end to help you get an idea Tyler monogan has a bike with the same colors he just built that could help with your idea (not trying to shout him out or anything)
I want that mat!!
It would be badass to know the weight before and after. Curious to see how much you’re able to shave off. 👍
Great job in supercross so far u and ken will get 1st and 2nd in the championship
I can't think of anything to suggest really(besides things that might help depending on your type of trail ride), if it were anything like my 06 450X I'd have a long list for you haha. I'd love to own a 450L even in stock config

I can't wait to see this thing come together with all the resources you have at your disposal. Should be sick! You doing any motor work? Cam or anything?
You should be fine, cerakote is extremely durable compared to powder coat. 👍
What's with the RC30 rear wheel in the background?
Hey Cole, what are your shop specs? Thanks love the content
Nice!
Wish you could display it at Anaheim 2!
Sick!!!
Im assuming you used a swing arm from a 450R that you had around ? what year was it off ? i want to put my 450L on a diet.
2018 450R
I want to see what you do to the exhaust
I've seen a Yosh system for the new X. Maybe that will work for the L.
