My GT broke down last year, just stoped working. I contacted FM, they responded the same day. I sent them pictures and video of the board and the next or few days later I sent them the whole board, and in the meantime they sent me a brand new GT! All free of costs! It took everything for about 2 weeks, shipping and all.. And I am from Europe! So..my experince with FM is fantastic. There you go.. I think they will get you a new one. Greetings from Croatia :)
I’m sorry that happened. It suck’s. I wouldn’t sweat it though and I’d just send it back as warranty. At the end of the day it failed within the use parameters and worrying about it won’t change anything. I don’t expect them to not resolve the issue so I recommend you stay positive. 👍🏾 The motor is sold as “Final Sale” basically. That’s not the same as saying without warranty though. They do need to spell it out better so people know what to expect. Thanks for the update and here’s hoping, and expecting them to take care of you.
I’m sure they will replace it for you. You obviously didn’t tamper with it. It’s the right thing to do. I recently damaged my GT motor while replacing the wheel. So I will be buying the GT s motor to repair it. But it will be pending the results of what they do in your situation. I’m hopeful for you brother
Sending it in is the right thing to do because in doing so, it helps FM dial in their own game, which helps everyone and if it turns out to be on them, then you’ll have a new motor covered under warranty. Don’t let the self serving FFM crowd tell you what to do with your own board because it says it right in FMs response to you, that if it’s not covered under warranty, you’ll have the option of FM replacing it for a fee or they will send it back to you as is and then you can decide what you want to do. 👍
You are doing the right thing brother, I appreacate the UPDATE! I think FM will fix it, cause you didnt do nothing to the motor, but test the performance
I recently bought a brand Pint as my entry into the OW arena. Still on sale BTW. Anyway, 17 miles in, the controller circuit board shorted and threw me off. Got the same kinda emails talking about no guarantee its under warranty but they ended up fixing it at no cost to me. I don't know their QA process or quality control but to me there is no excuse for brand new equipment to fail without warning. My bet is they will do you right and send you a new one or fix whatever they find wrong.
They at least gave a decent response and thanks for sharing. Did you link your video to FM? I wonder if FM saw it. I guess I'm curious if they treat everyone the same.
I’m buying anything from FM. The only purchase I made from them is a Mag handle way back. I bought my XR used and the only Onewheel I’m going to own. Looking into getting a EUC now. Good luck f*ck FM.
FM is bad but not pure evil. They'll fix you up. There's just no grounds for them to deny warranty in this case. You have video of what happened. It didn't get run over by a pick-up truck or anything.
Rob. Send me that motor if they won't fix it. I'm dying to see if their assembly got better after the GT or is the same. GT motors have a bad flaw in them.

They aren't making those motors available to dealers.
You could get a n52 mte and use your old gt motor. Max torque.
