I remember being in a school choir, which took part in the police concert, at the Winter Gardens. I also used to go to dinners there, with my parents. So, it's nice to see they've kept that building looking good. But how can the council justify spending somewhere around £80million, on the seafront, whilst the rest of the town goes to ruin?
Fun fact despite many British soldiers being stationed there during WW2 adolf hitler spared blackpool from bombing because he wanted to turn it into a giant theme park for his soldiers post nazi invasion lol

@ccg1404 lol I’ve been trying to tell folks I’m in the oppressed minority category for years. Funny how my grandpa loved all the kiss me quick hats ect
Do you still hear the clowns at night Clarissa?
That couple didn't look disabled to me. If the badge holder isn't with car the badge gets withdrawn, quite rightly.
Most disabilities and illnesses are invisible to the casual observer.
@@ninajanecooperExactly!! I have been challenged so many times. Especially from elderly gentleman, who feel entitled to open my passenger door to berate me, telling me I should t be parked in the space. When the reality is, I’m on palliative care with life support. Maybe at first glance, sitting in my car I look “fine” but once I’ve shown them the proof they ask for, they usually skulk off. 🥴
Miss Blackpool of the 90s/00s
I miss England of the 90s
Definitely
Was she sexy?
@AdamMarkAteMySandwich me too the 1990 was awesome in Blackpool
Miss Blackpool now wears a burkha!
I live in Blackpool, it's not all like this, there's some lovely parts, it's not a city it's a town, that warehouse you talked of is the old post-office, try going to the beautiful Stanley park,
this guy is evil
Painted a dreadful picture of blackpool, there's a lot of lovely places in Blackpool town
The guy is a scum bag
It’s a dump and the people are like the hills have eyes
I think Blackpool always looks nicer when it’s sunny! 🌞 🎪 🏖️
my home town was in decline for years under a labour council , now its been conservative run and the improvements are obvious
I hope those monks found a hotdog stand and were made one with everything.
Better have the right amount of cash though, because change must come from within.
😂
It’s a mess. Everything is rundown, dirty, dilapidated, closed, or falling down. It’s heyday way a long, long time ago.
@giovannigiorgio3727 seems I am, yes. Sad times
Looks like a holiday - from , Wakefield , or keighley !
@giovannigiorgio3727 indeed he is, i live in a so called 'nice' place and i would go there happily for a break lol.
England in a nutshell. Shit tip. Mass deportations needed
And its gonna get 100 times worse with migrants arriving 😑
20 million visitors last year. It’s not all bad.
I'm sorry....that's nonsense. In the early 1990s when I lived there, it claimed to have 17m visitors but even that was considered optimistic by residents. There re no cowds there anymore. Those days have gone. The town has become an embarassment. Tragic.
@@uk-martin4905 maybe you need to see it for yourself. This weekend it was heaving despite the not so good weather. The pubs were full, town car parks full and hundreds of people arriving at Blackpool North station when I left. They’re hosting the UK coach rally this weekend with over 50 coaches lined up on the front by the tower. Just one of many events.
@@uk-martin4905 go there on a hot summer’s day and tell me there are no crowds. I was there for the light switch on last year, the whole place was rammed.
I like to visit Blackpool now and then. It always reminds me to stay sober and earn money.
What happened years ago was people who were on the dole for life went to Blackpool for a day out. And then in their wisdom though why do we come and live in Blackpool and be on the dole and life will be wonderful ever day just like our day out.
I went to Blackpool last week for a couple of days . I got out of the train station and walked towards Sainsbury’s and someone got stabbed . Then on my last day I was walking past Poundland and again someone got stabbed . Very dangerous place now
Did you stab them?
No not me
The ultimate definition of ‘bleak’.
I think some of you need a sense of humour, it's still a good weekend and a good laugh
That's where I had my first tattoo , I was drunk as a skunk , but had a good weekend with all my workmates . The year was 1981 😅
Those God awful war of the world street lamps round the corner from Church Street. When I lived back in Clevelys for a few years, I think I went into Blackpool town centre once just to catch the train. It still can be nice to walk along the promenade though.
I was born and raised next to Blackpool (St Annes-on-Sea) and I'm appalled at how disgusting Blackpool is now.
It doesn't matter where you live, it's who YOU are as a person and what you make of what you got.
The seagulls are smarter than the locals
He did listen, 60 frames per second. Let's go.
'I'll cook yer a breakfast lads!!!' 🤣😂🤣🤣
OMG I could cry I used to live there during the summer season. I was in a show. I loved the place. It’s disgusting what it’s like now. 😮😡
Fun fact despite many British soldiers being stationed there during WW2 adolf hitler spared blackpool from bombing because he wanted to turn it into a giant theme park for his soldiers post nazi invasion lol
Nonsense one of those rumours funny though😂
I can remember as a child , that would have been a fantastic place to visit,
Have Blackpool council just given up? Look at the rubbish everywhere. At least get a road sweeper out ffs.
I'm sure asylum seekers would be very happy here. It would save the tax payers quite a bit too. £9 a night (£63 a week) for a room. Landlords would make a few quid. Everyone's a winner!
Loving the new camera footage Charlie.
Very steady as you work. But does it film kicks well? Is there a setting for that?
Blackpool is brilliant for 4 hours once every couple of years……it’s an amazing institution……big part of my upbringing…..
A jock in Blackpool in the holidays ? Mi timbers are well and truly shivered. Ya alright, Charlie.
I remember visiting Blackpool out shopping arcades seafront with the wife and kids occasionally in early 90s and 2000s.. It's a total eyesore and a disgrace for the Blackpo9l residents in 2024..
20:50 They're all parked. The seagulls can create a huge amount of mess in just minutes. 🤣
No signs of disability there. Nearly every time I see somebody get out of a car with disabled badges, they are fully abled in my eyes. Maybe they drive for somebody but that does not mean they can use it when that person is not around. Hope it was a nice fine. Why should others be made to park elsewhere or pay for parking when others are abusing the system?
@@Vile_Entity_3545this hurts a bit to read. My mum had a blue badge and has lung cancer … not very “visible” but thank God you’re not the one who issues them

@@Vile_Entity_3545 Not all disabilities and illnesses are visible to the casual observer. You can’t ‘see’ cancer, heart problems, or pain. Please stop judging.
Not very surprising but there's a number of people out there that use their dead relatives blue badges..

I went swimming as a kid at Blackers in the 70s doing front crawl grabbed a solid human turd never been in the sea since !!!
Good times😂

That Musta been crap
Yeah, it's a shit hole alright.
How times have changed. I remember going on spec to Blackpool one bank holiday weekend in the 70s and there was not a room to be had. Me and the Mrs had to sleep in the car.
13:40 Never been inside there...Wow! Thanks!
The Stone Roses - Empress Ballroom - 12.08.1989 was the last time Blackpool looked and felt great.
Disabled my arse. Granny, let me use your badge today,…
Not all disabilities are visible son bear that in mind in case it happens to you!!!
Don't judge a book by its cover, epilepsy is a hidden disability
That's what I thought, it's disgusting behaviour
Not all disabled people are nice.
@gaza721 I agree not all disabilities are visible, but you don't get a badge for epilepsy and we all know parking badges are well abused, my dad got one when he had cancer, some the people using them there's no way it was there's
There's a huge multi-story carpark smack in the middle of Blackpool centre, really not far from where they illegally parked - so if they can't be bothered to use it - TOUGH!
The white English people really ruined Blackpool but we aren't allowed to say that. Sunak will fix Blackpool before Ukraine
Was your tongue planted firmly in cheek there or did you say that without a trace of irony?
Why do you go out off your way to find people with drink and drug issues you don't know how they ended up that way in the first place nor do you care once again an easy target for your money shot your such a wanker I'm livid cause I didn't know you were in the town today I would have sent you back to manchester with a very sore pair of bollox something that's long overdue leave vonerable people alone ab is a proper auditer unlike you you have nothing in common and never will take a leaf out of his book and show human beings respect
New multi-story secure car park neat the Central Pier.
Its famous for different kind of rock in 2024

I see people all the time saying how wonderful a holiday in Blackpool is. There is no way, after this video, I would ever subject myself or my children to this place! Unbelievable! Looking forward to being in Tenerife in 2 days 😍
Some people getting very territorial and offended on blackpools behalf in the comments.
I don’t understand why people defend these derelict towns where the people are all jobless losers. Same when they defend crackheads too.. they’re violent and would probably mug them given half a chance, yet ppl in the comments will defend them as if their lives depend on it hahaha
10:22 for those who don’t know this building set on fire. It was a hair salon….so something caught a flame 11:13 uses to be royal male factory
Was in Blackpool on Friday was shocked at the slum like conditions that was clearly evident through the town, it seems Blackpool has been abandoned to the slum landlord/ hoteliers, even on the golden mile it looked grubby and uncared for ! Surely the town council has a lot to answer for these authorities cannot keep harping back to the pandemic for an excuse to do nothing, Blackpool for years has been a favourite destination of ours Now just like a lot of the hotels is seems to be a uncared for crumbling botched up dump so so sad Blackpool Authorities hang your heads in shame !!!
Jeremy Thorpe's mum had a boarding house in Blackpool. She used to advertise ( come to blackpool & spend a week in the sun )
Lot of good memories of Blackpool. Noticed how much you smiled too Charlie.
Blackpool ; An entire town helping police with their enquiries.
Should have asked a local, that empty bit next to heart foundation was a burnt out nail bad, and the Heart foundation you said was gone was damaged by the same fire, it's the furniture part of the charity and it never moved along the street. That warehouse is the old post office sorting building, you need to do some homework before doing these videos. And I don't live in the area.
Yeah, that's what I always do Charlie , park about a mile away from any restrictions and get a taxi in or a bus even. It runs a lot of cheaper trust me🏴
You need a bus or taxi to go one mile?
@Damien616 when I was younger I could run it
but now, I can't even barely walk it
. And 1 day the same thing will happen to you
And how do I know this
because I was young and fit like in the 80s And when older gentlemen were trying to explain to me what it was gonna be like when I got in my 60s I laugh at them 🤔🏴.

Hardly a decent hotel or guest house in Blackpool. I've been loads a time, and most of them are stinking.
