This was very helpful. I'm writing an article review on Vygotsky so this definitely helps me get all of my thoughts together in one place. I liked that you incorporated graphics into your video. I know it's silly, but I feel like I learn better when I have visualizations to keep me focused.
It is not silly 😊. Research says we understand concepts more visually. We learn what we see, then interpret. It is the same with me hence I make mind maps.
@@MsMumbaikarI don't think it has to do with us being more attuned to vision per se. It probably has to do with the fact that visual learning materials have inherent to them particular useful ways to express and convey certain ways in which information relates to one another. Memory, as well as understanding and meaning, depends on *organization* of information. In either case, I agree with you. It's not silly these visual elements are helpful: it's natural!
Vygotsky brings up valuable experiences that can enhance or limit ones' development. Culture has a lot to do with development of an individual. However, the development of ones' culture involves various experience of other cultures that is implanted in a person. Social media which I believe is a cultural experience that touches a person's life.
Loved this! It would be helpful to have references to articles of where you acquired this information. I still subscribed and enjoyed the video. Thank you!
"Absolutely fascinating insights! Vygotsky's emphasis on the role of community and language in learning truly resonates. It's intriguing how his theory diverges from Piaget's, I have tried to create a simplified video on my TH-cam channel highlighting the key differences between their approaches to child development. Check it out for a deeper understanding! 🎥 #ChildDevelopment #VygotskyVsPiaget"
And the reason for the misconceptions and misunderstandings is because Russia refuses to release his complete works - they only released small bits! And also because translating Russian to English isn't always very pragmatic 🤷♂️
this video helped me with my behaviour assessment. the impact Vygotsky has needed to be explained, and this was a god send thank youuuuuu

Memo: Vygotsky relies too much on observation and not on hard data
Vygotsky DID NOT minimize the role of genetics!
He very much emphasised it with his cultural and natural developmental lines!
And the reason for the misconceptions and misunderstandings is because Russia refuses to release his complete works - they only released small bits!
