Hey Sam... I love this Idea, you and Jai are going to start something with this... I wonder what the DOT have in the regs with a door on the drivers side from a safety point of view... I have not seen any specific rules on this, but Im pretty sure that some USA based units have to have the doors converted to be on our passenger side... I hope Im wrong.... Great video again old mate...
A few people seem to have the same concern , As this is classed as a "slide on camper " there are no regulations as to what side the door must be one .
Gosh this was cringe to watch and why are you pulling everything little thing apart.. would of made more sense to buy a pop top caravan then this little thing

@@chasing_the_dog3277 Awsome Sam, glad you are all over it. Keep up the great vids mate.
Wouldn’t of bothered with the Ac mate, can’t use it while you’re driving. But being so anal I can see why you did 😂
Why do you have to rotate the aircon?
@@andrefischer5025 because we are mounting it backwards on the truck
Cool project mate. Were you able to order it unregistered to avoid stamp duty/onroad costs ect?
No they wouldn't sell it like this
Well done.
Nice work boots Pete 😂
🤣🤣
Can i respectfully ask why you are turning it the opposite direction?
Will all make sense when it's on the back
I did not realise jayco still uses ply board wood. I thought it was all composite materials.
Yeh still a lot of plywood everywhere only the outer skin is fibreglass

Pop top caravan was too tall for what I'm after,
