      So I just realized a couple minutes after I actually did lose a snapper by pulling the bait right out of his mouth 🤣

    Tried your suggestion on using those lizard fish for bait yesterday. Got a 27” gag and a 231/2” gag on it. Guess I will keep them from now on. Had two good fish hit the slow pitch but came off and one pulled the hook off the jig.

      Man that is amazing! Were they alive or dead?! Awesome to see that tip paying off !!!

      Hey man I super appreciate that! And thanks for leaving the comment also!
      We primarily fish out of Steinhatchee, FL in the big bend area. I hope to be able to expand that in the future but we store our boat at Sea Hag Marina and they are just super good to us

      @@NickeeGee I'm coming up to st marks river this weekend. Not sure if I'm bringing the boat yet but going to check out the area.
      Would love to put a snapper in the box.

      @@oceandeepfishing4555 there's lots of good bottom up that way, and looks like a bunch of wrecks too. I'd hop onto the navionics website and check it out, also scope out some local marinas or bait shops to see what they're hearing, the local knowledge is always good. We've been finding the snapper in about 80-90 feet of water, they can be found shallower but it's just in smaller numbers

    Hey guys. Nice snapper catch. I live on the east coast and missed the three days we had here. Going to book a week in Mexico city next year.
    So what year is your boat? I've looked at seahunt and like the boats but the ones I've been on I didn't care for the back seating and live wells. Your is different then the ones I saw. I like it much better.
    Tight lines......

      So there is a local place called the shrimp boat, and the Steinhatchee reef and also the SFMA Reefs that hold fish.

    Do you have to go 50 miles out to catch red snapper out of steinhatchiee?

    • @NickeeGee
      @NickeeGee  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don't HAVE to, however they are much more abundant and bigger about 45 miles or more out.
