Is warehouse a good job in halliburton ? I'm wondering if I can get promotions and higher positions if I was good enough.. is it good to start a career?
Halliburton was the best job i've ever had, I was a cement operator and i'm going back soon, great management at all levels, all the guys are pros that know their stuff and get everything done right.
I saw this video 10 yrs ago and joined Schlumberger instead of Halliburton. Now I'm one of the Frac Technical Director for a reputable client. The Company taught me 2 things, how to CYA (cover your @$$) and how to squeeze your people till the last drop.

When he retired he looked 15 years older than he actually was. When they bought b & r, it just got worse.
I worked at Halliburton for 4 years. Ya the hour pay ain't that great but you get crazy hours. I was working 100 hour weeks there so I made damn good money.
The goal is to work less and make more. I worked for Halliburton in frac 4 years. You will become a good hand and learn to anticipate things that come up. But ultimately there are way better ways to make a living.
@josieeee8 I actually got hired. The training was physical but easy to catch on to. Once you get past the heat it's ok. I left before I could actually get onto the field to return to Law Enforcement and that was a big mistake. If you get on, stay.
Halliburton = Walmart Same shit! Halliburton Is to the oilfield as to what Walmart is to retail. LOW wages! Poor management! BIG profits! I hope Schlumberger Buys Halliburton. So it will be better! and stronger! Than the rest!
You can describe SLB as a bigger company in terms of company activities expansion but, in terms of revenue, HLB is a bigger company, it even has a better ranking in the Fortune 500
Be prepared to be abused and used then discarded when things slowdown. It's all about that degree now. Might not know how to run the equipment but the paper says they do! All majors are going to hell in a hand basket!
In the last couple months my SLB crew has had to rig up to old HAL sites that they couldn't finish. One job they couldn't establish rate on first stage and we came and pumped it with no problem. Both companies have their strong points and weak points.
First time I have ever seen 6 hands for wireline to rig up, not counting the 3rd party lube hand. I am not partial to either company but that Halliburton wireline crew had it easy that day. Nevertheless, it doesn't matter the company you work for, it's more of a district thing. Whoever took this video was a brainwashed newbie trying to prove an 80+ year battle between the service company giants. Who is better? It depends on the crew, district and area. Btw, I neither work for Halliburton or Schlumberger.
this is so true. schlumberger no longer exists here in utah, they closed their doors. and bj only runs cement jobs here, no frac. weatherford still fracs and cements here, but about 2 years ago, they also closed shop, they recently started picking up again. fractech used to have a yard here, but they also closed down. i'm not saying halliburton is the best, but they are ahead of the game here in this district. i also noticed that each camp is different, our camp does better than some of the camps in texas, as far as taking care of their equipment.

SLB has a better sand delivery system with their PCM and Pod and their personnel training is a little more intense. SLB oversells their capacity to cover jobs. IMO it's a tuff call but Big Red would be fracing my wells if I owned any.

Comparing apple to orange is not what you’re showing, never seen 2 competing frac crew on the same well, one blue is doing the fluid pumping, while the red is doing the “ tree saver “ packer at the wellhead, after 42 years in the oilpatch services, I definitely think you to study the situations before trying to make useless comparisons, can’t vote when no opposition is available 😂
You know what they say is the perfect service company. Halliburton equipment, SLB crews, and Baker Hugh's pricing.
