You know what they say is the perfect service company. Halliburton equipment, SLB crews, and Baker Hugh's pricing.

In the years 1975 thru 1982, I worked for both Halliburton (Rock Springs, WY) and later Schlumberger, also in Rock Springs. I was on the Halliburton Frac crew, and with Schlumberger, I was a drill stem tester. Schlumberger was primarily a logging service, so I can't comment on their fracking expertise, which came later. Summarizing, I can find no fault with either company. Accidents happened and lessons were learned.

@@TheRowdyone69 hell yeah.. others don't feel like they are making good money, but that is because they are living above their means. Here is the thing, and there is no trick to it. If you get paid $20 or $30 an hour, you need to live like you make that much. Work recently slowed down for us, so we got less hours so that the company adjusts itself to the realities of our situation as a company. Those fools that are on here talking negative about the company are those people that foolishly start throwing their money around and don't save for hard times. Another thing that is great about this company is that they don't start laying people off at the first time of any trouble on the stock market. We had our layoffs, yes. But, it wasn't as bad as others in the industry. This is the best place that you can be at to develop your self as a professional in the field that you choose. Good luck.

My ol' Daddy was a Cementer for halli from '47 to '70 out of Houston(OST and Navigation locations) Was good friend of Coots Matthews. NEVER, EVER seen a red&gray rig with a sleeper on it! His sleeper was a piece of plywood across them 2 "rowbinder" seats in the cab and some blankets! When they said 24-7 they damn sure meant it! When he retired he looked 15 years older than he actually was. When they bought b & r, it just got worse.

First time I have ever seen 6 hands for wireline to rig up, not counting the 3rd party lube hand. I am not partial to either company but that Halliburton wireline crew had it easy that day. Nevertheless, it doesn't matter the company you work for, it's more of a district thing. Whoever took this video was a brainwashed newbie trying to prove an 80+ year battle between the service company giants. Who is better? It depends on the crew, district and area. Btw, I neither work for Halliburton or Schlumberger.

    • @jesse1588

this is so true. schlumberger no longer exists here in utah, they closed their doors. and bj only runs cement jobs here, no frac. weatherford still fracs and cements here, but about 2 years ago, they also closed shop, they recently started picking up again. fractech used to have a yard here, but they also closed down. i'm not saying halliburton is the best, but they are ahead of the game here in this district. i also noticed that each camp is different, our camp does better than some of the camps in texas, as far as taking care of their equipment.

The reason Halliburton is one of the biggest company out there is because its one of the lowest paying frac jobs out there , one of there home town they come from is Duncan Oklahoma they shewed all big companies that wanted to move there because they new they had to to start paying competitive wages there, Halliburton has control of the water plant in the town of Duncan ,each buisines has to have a supply of water to run it , they run out Goodyear plant ,Bar S and so on , that's just example . Halliburton start out pay $12 to $13 an hr and other company $17 on up .They screwed over Halliburton employe engineer his retirement there

Comparing apple to orange is not what you’re showing, never seen 2 competing frac crew on the same well, one blue is doing the fluid pumping, while the red is doing the “ tree saver “ packer at the wellhead, after 42 years in the oilpatch services, I definitely think you to study the situations before trying to make useless comparisons, can’t vote when no opposition is available 😂

I can't tell the difference except that SLB has healthier employees and the Halliburton look fat but that might be their coveralls. Lol
I agree with the gentleman that stated that those are too big to compare let's look at the smaller companies... I do like Schlumberger..
