John Kirby is a lawyer that defended Nintendo in court against Universal over similarities between Donkey Kong and King Kong. It's believed that he was the naming inspiration for Kirby.

John Kirby got a boat called The Donkey Kong as a reward for defending Nintendo.
His reward for leading Nintendo to win the lawsuit was a sailboat called the Donkey Kong as well as his name being put on the shortlist for potential names.
Caterpillar basically said "I'm gonna take you to court so get your lawyer that succesfully defended Nintendo and won the case". That single line doesn't hit at all if you ask me

God, both the bars and the flow were so hard throughout the entire battle. But comparing Kirby’s bars with the Caterpillar’s is like comparing a pond to the biblical flood. You think the first is deep, and then the second literally overwhelms you before you know what’s going on
@@goldmagikarp9579Well get this: I fail to figure out how some of The Caterpillar’s lines are disses and there was a LOT going on in his first verse. And he fell flat in round two. Kirby, on the other hand, had fewer flaws and was focused on dissing his opponent.

-“Looks like the cycle of life of Kirby’s reached a full stop / 'Cause he just got destroyed on the mic, call that a Kirbstomp!”
I also need to know if the lines “I’m fly like the Dedede raps” and “I kill a beat like I’m Triple D” are disses that are about different aspects of the same topic (that being Kirby’s and King Dedede’s nemesis/mortal enemy relationship) or else the latter would be an effective repeated diss of the former.

I found it unfair in that it felt like Kirby had more disses despite the fact that I think there’s more you can diss about him and his franchise. Plus, there was a lot going on with the first Caterpillar verse, and it felt like a bit too much going at once.
Edit: also, OP, The Very Hungry Caterpillar had a shorter second verse. So maybe it wasn’t all that unfair.

But that Furby Krueger bar was a fake don Demarco cause the delivery wasn't that great but The Caterpillar won the 1st round
While delivery matters; the only time I think a Don DeMarco isn’t one is if the disses is worded too differently from actuality to properly land (or if the audibility is truly terrible).
