I love how Kris, even on someone else’s channel, plays fairly realistic characters. I also love Shaynes ability to come out into whatever video it is and make Courtney visibly uncomfortable. What I love most of all tho, is Olivia’s ability to take a character, dial it up to 110, and hit a home run
A lot gets said about how funny Shayne usually is and rightly so. What I feel goes under the radar is the physicality he brings to each character. All of the different mannerisms and physical quirks are always super character specific.
If you watch the white Ify and Black Shane TNTL bit, you can see how perceptive he is to physicality in a character. He saw Ify’s character and immediately noted his mannerism while laughing, and proceeded to execute him when he came out for his bit
right ?? hes so good at picking up on the overall essence of characters, its like his whole physicality and all of his mannerisms and ways of holding himself and his voice and expressions just transform into that character. its so cool
Courtney's face when they saw Shayne's rollerblades and realized he was from Xanadu - like you just know Courtney's therapist had a real spidey sense moment somewhere.
Courtney and Kris both being like “yep, I’ve actually dated this person before” was so real. Shayne did another solid character - the ongoing stories of him roller skating backwards down a hill and crashing into things were excellent. Olivia really stole this video though omg she did an amazing job!

Olivia were absolutely phenomenal! She is dedicated to the role but also have that abstract vibe to it all that makes it all pop so much more. It kinda lends well to the characters confidence honestly. And her exit at the end was litteral gold
Sonny Malone might not be the best ex overall but Shayne wasn't going for general laughs, he was locked in on making Courtney laugh because of how much she loves Xanadu
This is probably my favorite of these so far. Not only were each of them phenomenal individually, but their interactions with each other really elevated it. 11/10

But on several of the episodes all the characters ended up going on a weird tangent together and it can start to feel more forced than funny, ya know? The 3 on 1 style can definitely have some hilarious moments, but I find the 1 on 1 can be more consistently good if that makes sense :)
I wish they could combine the two. Like, maybe have a short “interview” with each ex 1 on 1 where they ask more specific questions and then at the end they could all come together and answer some of the more general questions as a group.
