- was given a lead on a new spot where old cars were dumped and went to check it out as well Ill take you to three other locations that I know now for many years. Finding new spots is always exciting.
I grew up in New Brunswick and spent a ton of time in these old car graveyards. What a treat to see such a large gathering of them and so picked over too. Nothing went to waste thats for sure. Thanks for the tour 😊
Nice tromping around the woods seeing the old steel. But I'm getting too old for it. So going with you makes up for it! 😊. Days gone by but not forgotten
Just found your channel. This is like walking through a graveyard for old cars. They are being reclaimed by Mother Nature. About brings a tear to the eyes. Thank you sir.
Really enjoyed that explore, quite a few of those British cars you saw with the distinctive tail-light shape were MK2 Ford Zephyrs or Zodiacs.
Thanks for the tour Fitzee. Take care and be careful. 👍 👍👍
Tony, I’m in Alabama, found a place in white ga, called old car heaven, 40 acres of cars, over 4000 cars, guy has a $15.00 fee to come look see. He doesn’t sell pieces, but, for $25 you are allowed to take pictures…..such a fun day !
Very cool Tony, I'm envisioning more sheetmetal for Patches and even a Patches II. Always an interesting and informative visit with your videos. Your work and your sharing are your legacy. All the best always to you and your family. Many thanks from a grateful "stick around" subscriber!
Thanks Tony for showing us the history of the Island, also when the island was moved from Britain to Canada.
👍💪✌
They must have used a few huge tug boats lol
I’m originally from Northern Ontario and we had these dump spots too , in 90’s it was where the teenagers would have their bush parties, any way live in NB these days, recently bought a 1978 Chrysler Cordoba from a farmers field, wife was none too happy about it but it gives me an opportunity to work on and learn more about the older stuff instead of working on the modern stuff with all the extra electronics and plastic and computer chips, not easy to find cheap parts since the old stuff is being crushed for scrap ; when people find them in the back of the property they just bought from an old farmer.
I can smell the pine and hemlock trees. Reminds me of Northern Michigan woods....
Sitting here with a glass of whisky in one hand and a hanky in the other, love the content. Keep up the good work.
Across from you is Goose Bay Labrador where I lived 4 years on the US Air Force Base. We had "Goosemobiles", cars left by former military that were old, but in well kept condition, sold cheap to the new families assigned there. We had a '56 caddilac and I think a 50's Studebaker (the most dependable in the extreme cold). It was like Cuba cars!
Your junk is the most stripped I've ever seen anywhere, just frames and sheetmetal. That tundra makes a good matress sometimes. Memories.
Im from Northern Ireland and we still have places like this in the present day. I walk my dogs past cars that have sat in the same place since the 1970s In 1980 i can remember seeing a late 50s Vauxhall Cresta driving into a wood under its own power when it was dumped with a split screen morris minor.
That was a nice trip, haven’t seen one of these in a while.
I feel with a little of that 18ga shelving and a few hours of time you could have one of those beauties ready for paint.
Awesome tour Tony
Nature’s doing a fantastic job recycling those old vehicles!
Be careful Fitzee, you'll scare Bigfoot away with all that stomping about and heavy breathing😀👍
Thanks for the tour Tony.
Looks like you had a fun day. Thanks for talking us along.
This shows some of the southern guys what our climate does to cars.
western provinces are OK. don't ever live in the east if you actually like cars
Man, it is so nice to see you in yr element.
Rust and nature 👍👍👍
Interesting. Thanks for the walk around! 👍
Love these. Videos. Great. Finds. Thanks ❤❤❤❤
Looks like you picked a perfect day for it. Most of those cars and trucks were in new condition when I was a kid. Thanks for the outing
Thanks for the tour!!
You’re making your way through that bush pretty good, thanks for the tour.
Great video! I definitely have to check some of those spots out.
HOWDY TONY, THAT FLEET LINER YOUR WORKING ON IS BLOWING ME MIND HOW REPAIR IT BUT ITS ALSO GOOD SEEING THE FUN SIDE OF WHAT YOU DO.
HAVE A GREAT SUMMER TONY ☕
You'd have to go a long way here in Australia to find anything like this. Pretty well all the coastal areas have been cleaned up and all the old wrecks went to scrap decades ago. But if you go inland, there are still some areas with wrecks, but they are slowly being cleaned up for scrap as well.
The Coronet is a 1968 Coronet 440 hardtop. If it has the small differential it was a /6. The wagon with the welded tailgate is a 59 Plymouth. The black Dodge two sedan is a 60. The first Valiant is 65 Custom 200. The blue wagon is a 66 Coronet 440 model....you can tell by the mid body side moulding and the fastener. Very Enjoyable !
Thanks for identifying those cars. The welded up wagon was interesting. Was doing searches but only went back to 1960.
With a little bit of cut and butt, you could have a few of these on the road.
45:40...Remember we took the Disc brake spindles off that Fury to use on my 63 Dodge? LoL I miss beating around in the woods looking for stuff!
Was thinking about that as I was coming up on it. Many cool memories of getting parts
@@fitzeesfabrication.thefl-nf7hp For sure! Wish I could find an actual 63 lying around! LoL
Gotta love the salty air eh? Wonder if that 12 bolt is worth saving. Anything cast iron might be salvageable someday haha.
Pontiac for sale.Ran when Parked May need Carb Work . No low ballers. I know what i got
The tail lights on that British car near the end reminded me of a Sunbeam
I think it was a Mk2 Ford Consul
Seeing you treking through the woods like that, I wonder if you have the Deer ticks and Lyme disease over there in Newfoundland like we do here in NS. Getting real bad here. Thanks for the videos!
Nothing like that here. The skeeters will make off with you if you don't watch it.lol.
Everyone and their "barn finds" I like seeing the bush finds.
I like that term "Bush finds". Lol. Good one
Abandon cars??? " Oh , look , a 1952 iron oxide.
There's a hole in some sheet metal...it's a "tailight assembly" .
I could not stop laughing...thank you.
The green Chevy you called a impala was a biscayne, the one you called a Austin Healey was a 50 Studebaker
It happens to all of one time or another.
Good show
Hi Tony. There wasn't much left of anything that could be salvaged. Everything slowly returning to mother nature. Kind of like a time capsule.
I seen a few things but yes returning to mother earth
" TONY'S GREAT AVENTURA "
I think that was a Little Rabbit.

That first car you said looked like an English car. Well, I'm not sure ; but, The tail light housing & bumper were both very reminiscent of a '55 or '56 Chevrolet. I would lean more towards a '56 because of the bumperets.
We had a spot like that by Roddickton when I was a teen , some in restorable shape but one day a crusher came in and cleaned up the area .
That happen alot around the island.
Not much left of most of those old cars, but the mid 60's Ford looks like a much later addition. Could be a few good parts left on it?
That scrub pine is a mess.
Pine loves iron in the soil and with very acidic needles which speeds up the 'return to earth' plan
Given that Newfoundland was under British rule it is amaziing how few British cars there are in the mix.
Haven't seen any German cars either.
Esseentially all American except for a couple of VWs
Of the German stuff was popular here. Lots of bugs in our woods. Many became woods rigs and later abandoned when broke.
Amazing trail with such a mysterious history of all them cars dumped there...Now tell me have you ever taken pieces of interest away from these sites...or are you allowed to if you consider the local by laws
I taken many parts from locations like this. The cars are abandoned on government land so its a free for all.
My dad owned a few 66 pontiac 4 door strato chiefs
It isn't the equatorial region alone that produces jungles.
Don't think people will be rushing to restore your treasures.
I think the British car is a Ford zephyr 6 of the 1960's
At 24:44 looks to be a 55 or 56 chevy
Looks like those cars were thrown off a cliff the way they a flat like that.
48:00 That Fargo is far gone.
52:27 is a 57 Chevy
As I'm watching your video, I'm expecting a mother Moose to come out of the bush.
who owns the land tony?
A hundred years from now people will go there to log out the timber and find a nice surprise of rotten old steel and wonder how it got there.
Don't think there be anything left in 100 years. All the 30s and 40s stuff has long since disappeared
Any vintage Jeeps about?
No matter how bad they got they were always saved . And used as woods trucks. Don't come across them much on crown land. Most you find are on private land
Do you ever find any good parts in amongst the rust that you can use on a project?
Yes. I'm building a truck from woods of newfoundland
@@fitzeesfabrication.thefl-nf7hp That must be Patches. We haven't seen it for quite some time.
Tony, was the trail your on the abandoned train rail line?
No this I think was the old road.when then went and did paved roads they sometimes found better locations. So old roads became dumping grounds
it looks like they all have been moved with a dozer off the road
Tony do you ever see a part uou can use. And bring tools an get that part
Yes many times.
@@fitzeesfabrication.thefl-nf7hp i would have been all over that 12 bolt rear
Not many have motors. They would have been either saved for other cars or put in fishing boats.
I say many were put into pickup trucks used in the fishery. I seen many a 4 door donate a engine to a work truck.
Are the English cars you've come across right hand drive?
Very few. Anything from way back then is long gone. Once and in awhile you'll come across something right hand drive but that would be old
Looks like a easy place to get stuck.
All too rusted to ever salvage after this long.
amazing what 9 feet of snow will do to an old rusty car
Sêe leafs on cornet
So sad that so mucbh of your wooded area is junked up with old rusted out cars
This is like 1 % of our woods. Not easy to find. I just know where they are. If your not looking for them you will never find them
Abandoned cars lol
All those are garbage salt destroyed them
Too far gone
Looks like nothing but unusable junk ,why are you showing this scrap Iron.
Cause it's interesting!
