I'll do the math one of these days but I anticipate these videos to last another year or so. Hopefully by them we are least have more Alan Wake 2 info or maybe have a release announcement.
I wanted to do things like that for SCP Foundation but their joining process is so tedious that I decided to focus on this here FBC lore and to wait for Alan Wake 2. Great addition, as always!
I’m behind on my viewing and as a result have just now started watching the Archivist series. I love this approach to exploring the various Altered Items and I hope you continue these as long as you can
It actually *can* be used to immobilize Astral Spikes, but only if you target them directly and they recover faster than Id. Also, it does nothing to reduce their proximity threat.
Of note, the altered item is the tape, and not the television, despite the inability to separate the two. The reason is that there cannot be two altered items of the same type, in theory at least. As there is already a television altered item, this one cannot be that
@@Snacker6 but TV can't be just that? An alternate item with multiple parts? Or it could be like with the fridge with kid drawings, once they became an alternate item they can't be separated Or like with the projector. They didn't specify if the projector was the item, slides, or both (tho it would be easy to test, they tried using different slides but they never mentioned using a different projector) Also where in the lore they said that there can't be two altered items on the same type? Was that actually mentioned in the game or that's just your head canon?
@@Pir-o The letters are all related. They all do the same thing, while these two do not do anything similar It is odd that they never mentioned using the slides in other projectors, but it seems logical that they would. I think they assumed it was the projector, since there was only one of it Some of the reports specifically mentions that there is only one of each form of altered item, and the letters description mentions it again. It is not head canon, though I don't have time to look through them all to give you the exact reports
Think it was a creative choice in behalf of the editor. I'll tell him to come answer here. The reason it is done with Scratch is because the name cannot be pronounced by humans and the scratching sound is the best approximation.
Editor here. Yeah it was a creative choice. It's Radioactive clicking noises, thought if this video was to make it all the way over to our world, it would have to go through some stuff and the name Ahti would definitely cause some sort of malfunction. the fact that it sounds like Scratch's effect is a coincidence
Video ends. The braindead audience: "It's rewind time!" Would this AI work on those infected by the hiss? And if, so does it cancel the influence of the resonance or would it just overlapp with it? Edit: This AI works presumably based on optics rather than accustics. Can all human senses fall victim to paranatural elements?
I'd imagine each AI functions different so some would work by touch, by sound, by visual means. I'd love to try and test this out in other entities. Imagine it halts the Hiss infected agents. That would be a game changer.

I think the altered items which got artificially created are very interestiung. I really do wonder how and who created them! Great video as always.
Most likely paracriminals either intentionally or accidentally. I imagine the Blessed Organization has figured out how to do it.
They've always said too much TV will rot your brain.
Wait is this what they meant? Wow they knew it all along. 😯
Those documents really smooth the wait for Control 2.

Ahti is not only a given name but the old name for the god of the sea.
100% accurate. I really need to read the source material involving Ahti.
@@GamingUniversityUoG I'm Finnish and I've seen Martti Suosalo who gave his voice and likeness to Ahti several times in many plays.

It's good to see the channel is still in good TAPE with these videos coming out lol.
Respect and keep up the epic work.
Looking to keep these going up through the release of Control 2!

The cassette tape altered item was interesting, so glad you made a video on it!
Fun to be involved in the Foundation stuff now

Its the SCP foundation but it's actually consistently well written.
Haha basically. This game/series is great
These are amazing
I appreciate Tom! We have a lot of fun working in these.
Operation Shallow Tide to observe the god of the depth, huh?
Still not sure if the operation was all about this or it just happened to include it. But yeah

I like this.
So saying 'Ahti' has the same effect as saying 'Mr. Scratch'. Does this apply to all Paranatural Entities?
