There are so many different ways to play this song and my opinion this is one of my favorites when a complete band plays it but when Gregg performs this song on acoustic solo, man now that just digs deep into the soul he puts into it and I can tell this is one of his favorite songs he's written mostly because he always plays this when doing an acoustic solo set . Just an awesome tune and you show it very well , thanks .
No thumbs down on my end , he does a good job showing it this way , especially for a band version this is no doubt the best way to play it . 👍thumbs up here !
Thanks for commenting. No correction, suggestion? Actual sheet music shows a G, but as I use these videos often to communicate to our bands other guitar player I thought the G9 carried a more interesting sound.
@@micahlyons5583 This arrangement sounds to me like it comes from a later version with Warren Haynes and I definately hear the 9th chord during that time frame. This arrangement sounds right o me.

Thanks Sam
When Greg play, s the song solo he play, s in open D tuning and here he plays in standard tuning and I love this arrangement. Just saying.
Sounds good Ed. Gives a little weekend project on this wet Equinox Saturday.
Nice lesson, Ed! This tutorial works for me. Not sure what's up with the thumbs downs because you cover all the basics here! Happy to subscribe. 👍👍👍😎

I think it’s in open g tuning
Greg probably has his guitar tuned to open G but Dickey and Warren probably played in standard. Anyway this arranement sound right to me.
Felicitări !
Those 9th chords are definitely wrong

Ed Hickey sorry my original comment was pretty harsh. I just think they would sound better without that bottom B.
Thanks for clarifying. Good suggestion. Will try. 👍✌️
