- Toba Tek Singh ٹوبہ ٹیک سنگھ is a city and capital of Toba Tek Singh District in the Pakistani province of Punjab, covering very famous cities like Rajana, Gojra, Pir Mahal, & Kamalia.
The town and district is named after a Sikh religious figure Tek Singh. Legend has it that Mr. Singh, a kind hearted man, served water and provided shelter to the worn out and thirsty travelers passing by a small pond ("toba" in Punjabi) which eventually was called Toba Tek Singh, and the surrounding settlement acquired the same name.

Saadat Hasan Manto, an Urdu Novelist who wrote a screenplay "Toba Tek Singh", which is a satire on Partition; in the tale, an inmate in an asylum frets over the query of whether his home town Toba Tek Singh is now in India or Pakistan. It became tailored right into a brief film of the same name, which became directed by using Afia Nathaniel in 2005.

salam alaikum .. m from punjab, india. mere father sahib ke ek dost the jo toba tek singh pakistan se the. unka naam ghulam hussain tha. woh aur father sahib libia mein ek sath rahe the.. tab k bicchde woh aaj tak ghulam hussain uncle se nahi mil paye aur aaj takriban 40-45 saal baad bhi jab woh unhe yaad karte hain toh rone lagte hain.. humare paas uncle ka likha hua ek khat hai jo aaj bhi papa ne sambhal ke rakha hai. hum logon ko urdu nahi aati na ho koi aas paas urdu padhta hai.. woh us khat ko hamesha apne paas rakhte hain k kabhi koi mile jo urdu se waqif ho usko bol k padha lenge k us chitthi mein uncle ne kya likha tha.. woh unko bauht yaad karte hain.. mera itna lamba message likhne yeh karan hai k aap kuch madad kar sakte ho unke bare mein kuch pata lag jaye.. main aap ko khat ki photo bhej skta hu aap urdu padh sakte ho toh.. please help if possible.. allah hafis
