    I had a 97 with 160k miles maybe 8 years ago in VA and had to sell it due to Heater core issues and emissions wouldnt pass due to check engine light. I had no money at the time and had no choice but to sell it off as-is I regret it ever since. Loved that car. I want to buy another one now but its so hard to find a decent one for a decent price.

    absolutely love this vehicle! I have the 2001 Ford Expedition 4.6L V8 Groton. with 385,000 some odd miles. even though the fuel pump went out this last week it's easy to diagnose the problem. it runs like new and my gas mileage is about 24mpg on the highway. Bought my beauty in mint condition for the small price of $1,100 from a couple who's had it as the only owner since 2001. this vehicle has me sitting comfortable even though I'm at 6'6" tall and all legs. it's a dream SUV would recommend to anyone.

      Yea I'm going to get another one soon. I'm looking at a 2007...4.6. Pretty sweet inside and clean. I'd still get a 2000 model one also if I see a nice one.

    I have a 2000 expedition with the 5.4 Triton. Almost 241k miles and my fuel pump went last week. Car runs amazing and besides regular expected maintenance, I’ve done nothing to it and I’m gonna drive it till it blows up

    • @FixingWithPassion
      @FixingWithPassion  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would....There a nice ride and can tow with no issues.

    Well.... I have a 2000 5.4 expedition daily driver with 175k miles. Main problem i HAD was the air suspension. Swapped it with a Monroe conversion kit. Installed 4inch cold air intake. High flow throttle body spacer high performance plugs & coils. If the grounds wet all 4 tires will scratch. But of course you feel the torque & you know you probably shouldn't do it again😂😂 oh... 9 miles a gallon. Im not letting this monster go

    I have a 2000 4.6L that I bought new in 2000. Now has 339,000 miles. Enjoyed your video.

    • @FixingWithPassion

      I just found one with only 56,000 miles yesterday! So tempting to go and buy!!!~~

    • @79glastron
      @79glastron 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nice. I would also have a hard time letting a like-new one with $56k go. I am going to buy another low mileage one once mine dies. The 4.6L is such a workhorse. I have towed many things with it over the years. How much do they want for the $56k one?

    just bought a 99 from Virginia and I cant believe the condition of the body. Only has 126k on it and runs great. Sorry I bought it for a winter car. I live in western New York and this would of been rotted by now. Gonna try save it by rustproofing it.

    The 2v 5.4 is actually quite reliable. Up there with the 4.6
    Just be sure to change the spark plugs on time and you'll last upwards of 300k

    This ought to be the making of a good series. Kudos!
    The cubby on the side of the console...remember when we used the Road Atlas to navigate. LOL
    What's the asking price? Your local dealership is gonna hire you to pitch its used, er, I mean previously owned cars. LOL

    350 miles at 26 gals is 13.4 mpg thats if you run it completely dry of course usually dont so you are looking about 15 mpg not bad really.

    I'm a newbie diy female that's found some helpful videos on TH-cam to help me do some vehicle repairs and now I need some help in finding videos.
    I have a 2000 Ford Expedition 4.6L V8 Triton XLT and I have been searching for anyone who can tell me if they had to repair a few things on theirs because I cannot find any videos on the repairs below:
    1. Has anyone had to repair the third brake light at the top of the back window wiring harness?
    (My brake light wiring harness where the three bulbs go into has melted)
    2. Has anyone had to repair their cylinder metal part that you stick the tire rod into to crank down the spare tire?
    (My cylinder metal part just fell out of that opening when I went to stick the long metal tire rod to crank down my spare tire) I'm having to put my spare tire in my third row seating area and I really need to know how to repair this.
    3. How to replace the ABS pump?
    (My ABS is making a whining noise and the only way to stop the noise is when I remove the 50amp fuse after I park. And this is annoying.
    So if anyone has a videos on how to do any of these repairs above on a 2000 Ford Expedition 4.6L V8 Triton XLT please comment.
    Thank you.😊

    Breh the 4.6 triton just like the f150 and the same gas mileage as an f150 would almost use this as a work truck
