Thank you for a very informative account of the huge part Poole made during WW2.
I was particularly amazed you mentioned my Grandfather Henry Vandy.
I knew he played a huge part during the war in Poole but never heard any one acknowledge it before.
He was honoured with the OBE after the war which our family are extremely proud of.
