Saw these when they were called Morning before their name change . This track named after the band’s name at that time . Sounds dated now but what a fabulous 3 piece these guys were . Great memories from the early 60’s to the early 70’s .
The transcribed lyrics found in a Japanese CD copy are reproduced below. Unfortunately they are largely inaccurate and grammatically incorrect, but as far as I know they are the only available lyrics to this song. Suggestions and corrections would be welcomed and appreciated. A thousand parchment town Outstretched in aptitude of breadth To sky that answered Not at all Was there alone in colours Alone Alone in colours The man of gentle voices Was asking only time From sky that answered Not at all Was there alone in colours Alone Alone in colours The silent street of emptiness Awaited only dawn In sky that answered Not at all Was there alone in colours Alone Alone in colours Oh… Oh… Oh… Passed away Shadow darkly Passed away Couldn’t tell me Why Oh With a careless Wave of her hair Dawn is stepping through the night and Why Oh Why Oh Why Oh Why Oh Guesses waiting on the corner Though the man with gentle voices tried to warn her From the colours eating into every day In the morning quite excited Feeling strange but still delighted Everything’s going faster, faster, faster Everything’s going faster, faster, faster Was it gleaming as a fire Starting flashing pacify her Everything’s going faster, faster, faster Everything’s going faster, faster, faster This is the day and it’s passing away Comforting meanings of passing away The man of gentle voices Was asking only time From sky that answered Not at all Was there alone in colours Alone Alone in colours The silent street of emptiness Awaited only dawn In sky that answered Not at all Was there alone in colours Alone Alone in colours Oh Oh Oh
You are a fucking hero of mine all the lyrics make sense thank you so much T2 was the greatest band that ever set foot on earth that's how much I respect their music and musicianship!
Absolutely an amazing piece of work.....this entire album is just unbelievably good!! T2 is definitely one of my favorite finds in the last 10 years or so.....
In 1969 Cross and Jinks were in the Bulldog Breed another great prog psych band. Their only album release was Made In England. That sound carried over in T 2.
Absolutely amazing that I'm lstening to this after more than forty years. I got in touch with this album in student's radio Lublin, Poland. I recorded it on a tape which got lost. Comparable to best of Wishbone Ash with a touch of KIng crimson. Thanks for bringing back the good memories
Well, I was thinking about early Wishbone's numbers such as Phoeniks, Leaf and stream or Persephony. Only their three first albums count to the history of rock music. TAK JEST.
Absolutely amazing band, that recorded this when they were young. Incredible, blows King Crimson away -they could (should) have been the best prog band ever. I'm a musician and whenever I play this to people they are blown away, I think T2 are the ultimate undiscovered 1970's band. INCREDIBLE

A thousand parchment hands, Outstretched in attitude of prayer, To sky that answered not at all, Was there alone in colours, alone, Alone in colours. The man of gentle voices, Was asking only time, From sky that answered not at all, Was there alone in colours, alone, Alone in colours, alone. The silent streets of emptiness, Awaited only dawn, In sky that answered not all, Was there alone in colours, alone, Alone in colours, alone. As through a shadow darkly, As through a curtain dimly, why, how? With a careless wave of her hair, Dawn is stepping, through the night air, why, how? Why, how, why, how? Guess who’s waiting on the corner, Will the man of gentle voices try to warm her, From the cold that’s eating into every day? In the morning quite excited, Feeling strange but still delighted, Everything’s going faster, faster, faster, Everything’s going faster, faster, faster. Roads with gleaming eyes of fire, Blinding, flashing, passing by her, Everything’s going faster, faster, faster, Everything’s going faster, faster, faster. This is the day and it’s passing away, Comforting meanings are passing away. The man of gentle voices, Was asking only time, From sky that answered not at all, Was there alone in colours, alone, Alone in colours, alone. The silent streets of emptiness, Awaited only dawn, In sky that answered not at all, Was there alone in colours, alone, Alone in colours, alone.
Saw T2 at the Farx Club in Southall in 1970 and Keith Cross was playing an old Korina Flying V. If it wasn't nicked that'll be his pension plan now..haha
Hi guys ! I have an original vinyl from 1970. Unfortunately it is a little scratched, but I will never give it away. When I bought it, I was a young guy and I thought I had discovered America, Iistened every day, recorded it on tapes and played those in my car .... ! Unfortunately I have never heard or seen any other records from them. Does anyone know more about them ???
Hi, I have this album, and the second unfinished album registered in 1970, which was published on cd in 2000, on Acme records. It's called simply t2, and in spite of bad registration quality, I assure tha is even better than I'll All Work Out In Bloomland. If you like them, you can't miss it.
night passes slow get up moon go, I can't take it my thoughts weigh me down and I'm prisoner to my blanket 'cause I'm thirsting for the brilliance of the glorious return of chorus the morning sleep enter my body I promise this time we won't fight you Dream Come and reveal what my mind won't let me feel, I won't deny you bird where have you gone come and sing me your song, I won't chide you sun come and crack open the sky and let your golden light through 'cause I'm thirsting for the brilliance of the glorious return of chorus the morning fear you're not wanted here hitch a ride with a tear wash away then light is what I yearn for if its behind that door, then let me break it chorus light is what I yearn for if its behind that door, then let me break it
It is my favourite album from that era - sadly the members had a big fall out and Keith Cross left to form a twosome with Peter Ross and they produced a good album - though more in the style of CSNY. I miss his guitar playing which was superb on this album.
Officially reissued in 2010 on CD and vinyl (black, clear and white) on the Decca label, mastered and pressed up in Germany. Therefore should sound great and is very affordable as a consequence: www.discogs.com/T2-Itll-All-Work-Out-In-Boomland/release/3116786
You lucky person - look after it!It could be worth quite a lot depending on condition and country of issue - see this: www.discogs.com/T2-Itll-All-Work-Out-In-Boomland/master/17790
Amazing song from a 68 year old from Malta
One of my favorite progrock-albums. I love it scince I have heard it the first time in 1978
An epic song that takes up one side of the album that's 21:12. Things that make you go hmmmmm.
I'm only 17 years old but I love it
The guitarist in T2 was also just 17 .

A thousand parchment town
Outstretched in aptitude of breadth
To sky that answered
Not at all
Was there alone in colours
Alone
Alone in colours
The man of gentle voices
Was asking only time
From sky that answered
Not at all
Was there alone in colours
Alone
Alone in colours
The silent street of emptiness
Awaited only dawn
In sky that answered
Not at all
Was there alone in colours
Alone
Alone in colours
Oh…
Oh…
Oh…
Passed away
Shadow darkly
Passed away
Couldn’t tell me
Why
Oh
With a careless
Wave of her hair
Dawn is stepping through the night and
Why
Oh
Why
Oh
Why
Oh
Why
Oh
Guesses waiting on the corner
Though the man with gentle voices tried to warn her
From the colours eating into every day
In the morning quite excited
Feeling strange but still delighted
Everything’s going faster, faster, faster
Everything’s going faster, faster, faster
Was it gleaming as a fire
Starting flashing pacify her
Everything’s going faster, faster, faster
Everything’s going faster, faster, faster
This is the day and it’s passing away
Comforting meanings of passing away
The man of gentle voices
Was asking only time
From sky that answered
Not at all
Was there alone in colours
Alone
Alone in colours
The silent street of emptiness
Awaited only dawn
In sky that answered
Not at all
Was there alone in colours

Fantastic band, Always loved this Album, One of my all time favourites.

wishbone ash??!! T2 would not like the comparison, I must assume.
Well, I was thinking about early Wishbone's numbers such as Phoeniks, Leaf and stream or Persephony. Only their three first albums count to the history of rock music. TAK JEST.
Especially it should be
“No More White Horses”

I totally agree everyone I have played this too love as well, another of the great 70s unknown bands who should have made it big
Carp Ademen I agree but I don’t think that they’d blow King Crimson away... they’re certainly among the top 3
Listen to In the Court of the Crimson King album and sou will most probably change your mind.
But the drumming is very kingcrimsonesque :)
@@rokuslucius Most of the songs are recorded 67-69, “morning” including
Super T2 !!!

And It's a great album.

He was truly a great guitar player, he deserved much more fame.
