In Europe Carhartt is in the skate industry for much longer then just 15 years. And they also sponsored and had teams all the time. Here they've always been known for streetwear, not so much for workwear. I was very surprised to find out, that in the U.S., where they originate from, no one had a clue about Carhartt's steetwear.
I remember seeing Carhartt worn in Europe by young people who i'm sure did not work at a farm or factory forever ago, I was confused too. Carhartt is just picking up steam in the US the last 5 years. We're a little late to the game, I guess.
I hate modern skateboarding because skaters nowadays all look very cool and fashionable. I wish to return to 90's skating where what you wore was of little to no significance.
