How to Count in Garifuna

The Garifuna are a Central American ethnic group descended from a mix of African and Indigenous peoples. For decades, speaking in Garifuna was discouraged in an effort to assimilate with the surrounding communities. Only recently has the community began efforts to teach Garifuna in primary school, and the language is currently in danger of disappearing completely.
