I love this. Would it be easier to pre-stain the wood? And how would you suggest making this piece with storage?
Hi! Thank you so much! We wouldn’t suggest pre-staining as we used wood glue and light sanding would be necessary once you’ve attached the dowels...
Hmmm for this particular piece because the dowels are glued to both top and bottom it’s kind of hard to explain but my husband and I love a challenge and have both came up with ideas for you! Lol

Gorgeous table, wonderful job! How has it held up over the past year? I love the look, but was wondering if the dowels would come off if it got kicked or bumped.
Thank you so much!! So far they’ve held up very good. I think after the first time Greg dropped it he learned and put a lot more glue lol so the dowels are not moving.
