Its funny youtube recommended this, the first ever book i read by him at age 9, and its what made me want to be a writer. It was so interesting, captivating and well thought out that I couldnt stop reading it. I was a very sick kid and I took it to the hospital with me and read it every single day. My doctors never saw me without the book, and im really glad he wrote it. Helped me get through some of my darkest times. (I donated the book to my hospital after my chemo was finished so hopefully another kid enjoyed it just as much)
That's amazing when he says he got to write about life in a different way because the story was set in a graveyard. Life doesn't seem so mundane from that perspective. This book has so many good quotes, some of them about embracing life.
Heavy sigh. I'm a Neil Gaiman addict. LOL. He's a wonderfully fascinating man and a great great writer. I loved "The Graveyard Book." Don't expect a horror story, because it isn't.
Very good book if your having a blockage and trouble with knowing you love reading but cannot seem to pull yourself back into somthing that had once captivated and made you so happy. It rekindled my love of reading and I'm so happy for reading it.
(I mean, that part when the boy rescue someone from that lovecraftian city is a retelling of the chapter Mogli rescues some from that monkey village or something.)
i love this book, and thing that i was thinking what happen to bod after he went to his journey i really wanted to know if theres a book two did bod ever went back to the graveyard when he got old or if he was buried there and finally be with mr and mrs owens again

I was enjoying The Graveyard Book immensely, but the ending hit me like a ton of bricks and made the book ten times better.

I read it every October. The story behind the story is almost as good as the novel itself.
