First and most important is that you separate prison and jail in Cyprus is only one prison and on top of that first generation facility to be used in today’s standards that makes it inoperable and they fail to do proper classification of every inmate when the first get arrested what I mean by that you separate inmates by criminal history if they know to be violent towards staff or other inmates,suicidal,medical history and the crime they committed if is felony or misdemeanor if is punishable less than a year or over ,homosexual ,transgender they housed separate,sexual crimes again are housed separate every inmate is different and needs to be housed accordingly I have 29 years experience in the Florida prisons and county jail and to be honest this to be fixed will require a budget bigger that the one Cyprus spend for their military Stop blaming and punishing staff honestly they are victims of a failed system
