It reminds me of the 128cl that my father had, 1100 though, sold more here in Italy. Beautiful, I'm glad: moreover, it's like in part embracing my father again to see this valid car 👍👋🏻
His Dad bought it coz its a bloody great car really - I love the idea his Dad's cigar ash is still in the ash tray - fair play to preserving his Dad's memory and respect for the cars
" I arrive in Germany. Volkswagen Research Centre. It was January 1970. In the center of a huge room was a 128 completely disassembled and sectioned, piece by piece. I ask for explanations and they candidly answer that they will never be able to make a car with such refined mechanics at such a low price. For this the Golf will have to be smaller. In short, the 128 was their reference car " Giorgetto Giugiaro
My Dad had a 78 estate version of that car, same colour and model, good to drive, comfortable and roomy. But yes, the rust was rapid and terrible. Shame. I passed my test in it in 1980.
In famiglia avevamo una 128 rally seconda serie gialla vetri azzurrati e cerchi in lega a stella bellissima quante sgommate e partenze a razzo ai semafori
What a truly remarkable survivor!
Bella macchinetta, un ricordo di tanti anni fa....❤🔝🚗🇮🇹

Still number 1 here in Egypt 🇪🇬
From zastava?
I don’t know how it qualifies as unexceptional! Exceptionally nice car in exceptional condition, backed up with an exceptional history.
It was an excellent car for the time. LJK Setright of Car said it was the car that made front wheel drive “fun”!

My 1976 128 3p rusted away in 1988. Sad ending to a spunky car 🚗 !!
Open the doors, show the dash instead of standing with your hands in your pocket!
I learned to drive in one of these. Awful gearchange (which was probably not helped by my inexperience). Mind you, it had done 145,000 miles!
Tolles Auto, aber in einer minderwertigen Qualität.
Ich hatte damals (1973), einen. rally
La Fiat 128 Rally era la più bella di tutte le versioni
