Sir I am 16 years old and I'm learning Hindustani classical music since the last 8 years. Earlier I didn't had any complains regarding my voice, but now I get a throat pain after my daily riyaz. 2 years ago my teacher had advised me to take a gap of an year and since then my scale changed from Kali 4 to Kali 1. Now the thing is I'm afraid that wether I'll have to stop singing completely for another year or what, as even thinking of stopping singing gives me tension. Please tell me sir what should I do.
* I riyaz for 1 to 1and half hour daily
I also drink warm water in the morning. It's not possible for me to riyaz in the morning so I do it in the evening at 6

It's natural dear..happens with every single boy during their adolescence.The vocal chord gets thickened.No need to stop singing, if you feel comfort in kali 1 then It's okay.If not, you can try safed 1 or lower.....but remember one thing, during this time don't pressurize your voice.Do riyaz decently as long as you feel good.You may feel trouble with high notes. In that case, keep descending downwards gently from up rather than ascending, cz it may cause pain in your throat at this time.. :)

Siddhant bhaiya mujhe classical music sikhna hai aur abhi main 22 ka hogaya hoon. I dropped out my studies only for music and bohot acchi decision liya maine kyunki main khush hoon. Par ek baat hai mujhe sikhna hai Indian Classical. Toh please bhaiya aap meri madat kardo na. Mujhe ek acchi guru ki jarurat hai and ese waqt bitana hai ki music hi rahe aur kuch nahi. Aur me sab tyag bhi sakta hoon music k liye. Please aap jaise ki sikhe huwe ho toh aapko itna toh jarur pata hoga kause guru acche sikhate hai dedicated students ko. Some qualities in a voice are: pitch; volume; duration and intensity.Intensity means how deep ones voice is.Kishore had a deep voice but todays singers have a very thin(pathla) voice. Can you throw some light on these.

Kishore Kumar was able to sing with a mixed voice. Mixture of chest middle and head voice and also proper resonance. These are very important for any kind of voice we use. Mainly for singing any type of song.
