it is great to know why i am out of the game. i am just a 1-2, old man. reality is brutal but honest. now i don't feel bad about failing at the dating/mating game at all. besides that, even if you get married, 50% of all marriages end in divorce with the man loosing almost everything. Honestly, as a single male in his 30s, I haven't felt an attachment to any women I have met at all in the past 5-7 years. A lot of women my age seem to be totally obsessed with social media and talking about themselves. They don't have hobbies, or any real type of personality. They spend so much time just staring at their phones. Its honestly not worth the hassle. I would rather be somewhat lonely and have some peace than a woman that is constantly ignoring me or when she does want attention is just to talk about herself and her feelings or asking me stupid questions to reaffirm her validation. I'm 33, and I agree with a lot of what you mentioned. I started noticing this issue with women slowly developing as social media took over society. Things were still relatively normal from around 2008-2012, back then it was just facebook and people weren't constantly on it. However, I started noticing things began to change around 2014/2015, which was when Tinder and instagram became big. The one specific mainstream technology that allowed this to change how people socialized was smart phones. As you mentioned, not all women are like this. The thing to keep in mind is that the women that are normal/decent are very likely NOT single/available. Even amongst those that aren't taken, you aren't even factoring in basic attraction or even personal compatibility. The reality is that the dating market is way more difficult for men today compared to what their father's and grandfathers, etc. would have faced. Boomer males did not struggle to find a woman that they could eventually marry and have kids with. Today, the AVERAGE man is often times struggling just to get a first date. Very unfortunate.

I'm 33, and I agree with a lot of what you mentioned. I started noticing this issue with women slowly developing as social media took over society. Things were still relatively normal from around 2008-2012, back then it was just facebook and people weren't constantly on it. However, I started noticing things began to change around 2014/2015, which was when Tinder and instagram became big. The one specific mainstream technology that allowed this to change how people socialized was smart phones.
As you mentioned, not all women are like this. The thing to keep in mind is that the women that are normal/decent are very likely NOT single/available. Even amongst those that aren't taken, you aren't even factoring in basic attraction or even personal compatibility. The reality is that the dating market is way more difficult for men today compared to what their father's and grandfathers, etc. would have faced. Boomer males did not struggle to find a woman that they could eventually marry and have kids with. Today, the AVERAGE man is often times struggling just to get a first date. Very unfortunate.
Dating in today’s world? Is like walking into a minefield.

men just do flings that sums it up. dating apps is hookup culture only too. Ide like an LOYAL average guy in his 40-60s for long term he's not out there really and i don't care about his finances. I live alone have my own place properties, can cook and take care of my guy and a decent job salary making 2-3x most men. There is a way of answering this when it comes to men and 'dating' profiles vs a CV. The dating market itself is also very bad, like, all time bad for men, and it isn't exactly beneficial to women either. I'm not saying self improvement is futile or bad, just don't think there's a woman at the end of it. There are plenty of men like me out there, I'm completely unremarkable though I would say I'm in the top 15% in my age bracket.
I've got a good friend with similar achievements and qualities and he's getting married to a Thai woman soon. Though really, he could probably get her without all the "self improvement" thing. Just do it for yourself, not women.
