Thick as thieves. I have the 4040 pro and it’s a great little machine. I really wanted to learn CNC before jumping in to something much more expensive. It’s a great little learning tool. I’m saving up for the onefinity. James was incredibly helpful with getting me going with the 4040pro.
Thick as thieves , so great seeing both of you breaking things down. James's videos on the 4040 pro are the reasons I got into hobby CNC. Keep up the great work guys
Thick As Thieves - I am just getting into desktop CNC and you two are my go-to's for excellent, clear information. Thank you both for being such great learning resources.
Thick as thieves- great collaboration! I have learned a ton from James for my small cnc and enjoy your videos as well. Loving my downtown Jenny bit. I really want to use my bowl bit from Cody as well. I have been subscribed to both of you for a year and a half! Keep it up
Thick as Thieves - Great Video! James Dean video's have been a huge help and I recommend following him. I working with older SainSmart 4030 and I highly recommend CNC With Me even without a Onefinity. I'm learning so much! Both of these guys are huge help!
"Thick as Thieves" -love the onefinity videos and comparison. I'm new to CNC and considering jumping in....but don't want to buy and continuously upgrade and want large enough footprint to cut out parts....hope to join the community soon
Thick as Thieves - really like your videos. I am trying to decide what I want to build before selecting the best machine for my future garage workshop.
Thick as thieves. I just stumbled across this video today, i am looking into starting hobby CNC, this was a perfect introduction, also just subscribed to James's, Mitz's and Hamilton's channels, looking forward to learning something new, thank you.
Thick As Thieves. Awesome video, I started my CNC journey with a FoxAlien machine all because of James!! Now I run a onefinity partially because of your videos!
Thick As Thieves, Just started my wood working journey last year, and would love to add a CNC to my small garage/shop. Great video, on showing the differences on high and low budget CNC machines.
Thick as thieves. This was good information especially for those who are not sure which way to go. Good to see James with you…I have to say one thing I have been surprised with, in a very good way, is the CNC community, regardless of your machine and software, the majority of people are willing to help anyone….kinda of funny seeing Rob and Leighton (sp?) in the back setting things up. Keep up the good work.
Very Helpful video thank you. I wish I would have seen this video and went with Onefinity when I purchased the Sainsmart in 2023. (4030 PROV V1). The issue is when you do upgrading, your low cost machine can get expensive and the parts wear out more quickly. The Sainsmart was a good machine but I needed a bit more space so ended up going to 6060 conversion kit. Then I needed a new spoilboard, then controller was going out and I needed a new controller and also upgraded the stepper motors. There is a bit of play now in the X access, still works but sure how long. I have over 2500 into the system now. It has paid for itself but would have been a better investment in a more durable machine. Looking back I would say if you have any inkling that you might need a more robust or larger machine invest the money upfront if you can.
Thick as Thieves. Two of the nicest guys in CNC in the same place! There is certainly a place for a starter machine. 5 years ago I bought a 3d printer, thinking it would be the greatest thing ever. Just couldn't get into it with the cleanup of the projects. Glad I spent less than $500.
I have the 4040 pro. Like James said, it's an ideal 'starter' machine to get people into cnc (or not). The Onefinity is my ideal dream machine, the speed difference was amazing. Excellent video guys
Thick as Thieves! I have a Hobby Laser and have enjoyed it so much.... I'm definitely thinking a CNC would add the flexibility I need. This video gave me all the info without any of the "must have" pressure! Thank you!
Thick as thieves. Just bought my first desk top CNC , cannot wait to get going, been watch loads of TH-cam videos from both of you guys, keep up the great work
Thick as thieves :). I enjoyed seeing the two of you together. Great comparison! I’ve had a great experience with Sainsmart. I have a small CNC and laser from them. They have responded relatively quickly to questions and resolved my issues quickly.
I love the comparison and it is helping me with my next steps. Been using a Shaper Origin for several years and love it, but it gets very tiring to setup and repeat for more than one or two repeated cuts. Really need to move up to the next level for repeatability. Thick as thieves we all are!
Thick as Thieves, I like your videos and your support for the cnc community. I have the FoxAlien XE-PRO with the VCarve software. I'm really happy with it.
Thick as Thieves guys! I started with a Sainsmart small 3018 CNC that I did a bunch of upgrades to but since I have built an OpenBuilds Lead 1010. I have also done upgrades to it as well and am in the process of putting linear rails on the X axis and am waiting on a 2.2kw spindle to replace my Makita.
Thick as thieves absolutely love my Onefinity elite foreman and would love to have a mini CNC to add to the workshop! Absolutely love Hamilton‘s reviews!!!!
Thick as thieves - amazing information. Semi-retired and looking to enter the hobby market ( for money) lol. I a.sure after a week of watching all your videos - I will become informed!
Thick as thieves! For me, this was a very informative video! Last year i purchased the Shaper Origin. It is a great machine but not the tool for me. Currently, I'm considering the Shapeoko 5 Pro CNC Router with the spindle. It seems to be a good fit for me. At 81 years young, i don't have a lot of summers left. This is making harder to decide.
Thick as Thieves, A hat would be cool, I own the 4040 pro. Great video from 2 Awesome Makers. Wish I owned the Onefinity but have the 4040 pro.Keep up the great work. Video shared on my Facebook group.
Great video, guys! I started off with a Bob's CNC, just testing the waters, and now, after 4 machines, I've landed with the Onefinity Elite. It's funny how they say all roads lead to Rome; in the CNC world, all roads lead to One Machine with Infinite Possibilities lol Keep up the good work Ham!
This was a very informative video. I am sure that many people ask themselves questions about price for value and if it is worth starting small or going big. Thanks.
Thick as thieves - like the simplicity angle the 4040 is going for, seems like a good machine to get into cnc with before going all in on something bigger
Thank you for the video. One of my goals with my CNC purchase is to be able to hang it on a wall when I’m not using it. Will hanging either of these on the wall when it’s not in use affect either the machines?
THICK AS THIEVES From the first time I saw the Genmitsu 4040 PRO I knew it looked like a baby Onefinity. With all of the cheap small routers that use 8mm unsupported rods that must flex like swamp-grass in the wind, this looked like a breath of fresh air. I am glad to hear it performs as well as it looks.
Thick as Thieves! Thanks for bringing these videos to us makers! Both of you bring a large excitement to this wonderful hobby and probably to the professional community as well!
Thick As Thieves One day I hope to be able to afford either of those. I just begain my hobbyist woodworking journey and after watching your videos, I know a CNC will be a great add to my style of creativity. I still have my first Ender. Cheap but still fun.
A great video, I'm a carveco user as well, but I use the monthly subscription model with my extended FoxAlien Pro. It works great. It was assembled watching James' video while doing it. Cheers to all! Canadian so I don't qualify. still good vid.
I’ve looked at this small machine before I have a shark 520 but I’m looking for making end grain joints for boxes like dovetails or even crazy joint like the Batman symbol I saw someone do once! Can this $800 machine be setup for those primary functions if I build a vertical table through the center of the table setup
"THICK AS THIEVES" I really enjoyed your video. Iam currently researching the Onefinity CNC future purchase. It would be great to learn the software ahead of time.
Thick as thieves. i love it when my favorite content creators collaborate. ;) i have a 3'x4' kit-based cnc that i've been tinkering with for a while, and have been thinking of getting a small machine for smaller projects that don't need much space. that sainsmart looks interesting...
Thick as thieves. Ham you are the number one reason that I have a Onefinity in my garage and am 6000 dollars poorer. Worth every penny. Thanks for all you do
thick as thieves I have the Sienci 30x30 with a Makita router and it does well. I'm still on the long side of the learning curve but getting there. I enjoy both of your channels. I'm curious as to why you both chose Carveco (vs those who swear by Vetric). Carveco does look more user friendly with a better UI - to me.
Great video. Hopefully this is appropriate but would love for you guys to look into V1 Engineering and the Lowrider3 or just similar products. Its a mostly 3d printed cnc and you can get a full sheet build for about $1000. Great community and lots of innovation/upgrades.
THICK AS THIEVES - One other item for comparison is portability and space needs vs what you plan on making. I have the original X35 Woodworker CNC. I would say that 90% of my projects could be done with the smaller 4040 machine. If you were only to do small scale items the Onefinity size may be overkill.
Watching this was enlightening. Right now i am in the dreaming_wishing phase of cnc. Winning the CNC machine would just plain awesome . And with me living in a long term retirement facility I will be able to find a small corner to set it up in. Thanks Thick as thieves
thick as thieves. this is the comparison that I was looking for. I have always been a tech girl but I cannot justify the price of the big CNC just yet. the small 4040 pro seems pretty sweet to get into the hobby.
THICK AS THIEVES - as always a great video! Lots of information inspiration and great intention. I love how you guys have come together to really show is how diverse the hobby is.
🔥CNC WITH ME: www.cncwithme.com/
The comparison we have all needed! The best CNC is the one you can afford and the ones you use.
Also, thick as thieves!!
thick as thieves. Love all your videos. 71 years old and just learning. your videos have helped a lot.
Thick as Thieves - fingers crossed, i would love to get into cnc Woodworking
Thick as thieves. I have the 4040 pro and it’s a great little machine. I really wanted to learn CNC before jumping in to something much more expensive. It’s a great little learning tool. I’m saving up for the onefinity. James was incredibly helpful with getting me going with the 4040pro.

Thick as Thieves. Great video. Been waying the opinions between a laser and a CNC.
Thick as thieves- great collaboration! I have learned a ton from James for my small cnc and enjoy your videos as well. Loving my downtown Jenny bit. I really want to use my bowl bit from Cody as well. I have been subscribed to both of you for a year and a half! Keep it up
THICK AS THIEVES- awesome colab! Glad to see you were able to reconnect with the CarveCo / OneFinity crew again this year. Love the Mitz/Ham file!
Thick as Thieves - Great Video!
James Dean video's have been a huge help and I recommend following him. I working with older SainSmart 4030 and I highly recommend CNC With Me even without a Onefinity. I'm learning so much! Both of these guys are huge help!
Thick as thieves! This was fun having James in the shop. His channel was a great help when I first started learning about CNC.
"Thick as Thieves" -love the onefinity videos and comparison. I'm new to CNC and considering jumping in....but don't want to buy and continuously upgrade and want large enough footprint to cut out parts....hope to join the community soon
Thick as thieves - It's glitching out like crazy for me during the contest part. Very weird.
Thick as thieves- excellent video, been subscribed to both channels for a long time now. Love your videos
"Thick as thieves", just starting to look at getting into CNC and this video was really helpful. Keep up the great videos!
Thick as Thieves - really like your videos. I am trying to decide what I want to build before selecting the best machine for my future garage workshop.
"Thick as thieves" Awesome to have James and Hamilton in the same video. Always enjoy both of your content.
“Thick as thieves” I really enjoy this video and how you explained the difference between the two CNC machines. Keep up the great videos.
Thick as Thieves! Great comparison video! Love all your work and being part of the CNC with Me community!!
Thick As Thieves. Thanks for this great break down video, I've been curious as of late about cnc and this helped a lot!

"Thick As Theives" Excellent content. Exactly the explinations i was looking for. Thank you
Thick as thieves, Awesome to see James on the channel. the two of you are two major resources for my cnc journey.

Thick as Thieves, love your videos. Glad I signed up for CNC with me. Thanks for what you are doing for the community.
Thick-as-thieves - Enjoyed the comparison and defiantly gave me some things to look out for when I upgrade from my 3018-Pro
Thick as thieves.
Great comparison between two great machines for what they are. Thanks for recording and sharing this one.
Thick as Thieves. Really appreciated this collaboration and comparison of the machines!
Thick as thieves. Just bought my first desk top CNC , cannot wait to get going, been watch loads of TH-cam videos from both of you guys, keep up the great work

Thick as thieves. Great video. I’m a hobbiest wanting to get into CNC so I appreciate seeing the difference
Thick as Thieves - Nice apples to oranges comparison. Thanks!
Thick As Thieves. Have subscribed to both you & JD for 2 years. Enjoy both. Keep CNCing.
This was a very informative video. I am sure that many people ask themselves questions about price for value and if it is worth starting small or going big.
Thanks.
Amazing, what a great video. You guys rock
Thick as thieves - like the simplicity angle the 4040 is going for, seems like a good machine to get into cnc with before going all in on something bigger

So the cam file is the same right? Same gcode?
Thick as Thieves! Thanks for bringing these videos to us makers! Both of you bring a large excitement to this wonderful hobby and probably to the professional community as well!
Thick as thieves, your videos are inspiring. I would love this machine to help my daughters get into woodworking as a hobby.
thick as thieves-Hamilton and James. I try to never miss any of your videos

"THICK AS THIEVES" Appreciate the work you both do. Keep the info coming. Thank you.
Thick as Thieves! Thanks for the comparison, loved seeing what both machines can do. Definitely can’t wait to order a Onefinity soon
Thick as thieves. I love watching the channel and I started out with a sainsmart machine but now have a Onefinity journeyman.

For the onefinity do you feel the QCW work surface is hardy enough. I hear it deflects
Thick as thieves. I have a Onefinity elite coming next week. Closest I have felt to a kid looking forward to Christmas in a long time.
Thick as thieves
Thanks! Truly appreciate you guys spending time to compare the two machines!
Thick as thieves, I enjoyed your video. I now going to check out Mitz and James. Thanks

Thick as thieves I would love some Carveco merch. Great comparison video!!
Thick as Thieves - Hamilton, how do you keep your QCW frame from "shaking' while machining?
Thick as thieves.... Great video guys, I sub to both of your channels, this was an excellent collaboration. Keep them coming!
Thick as thieves. Love you guys. I purchased my 1f E4man because of your vids.
Thick as thieves! Really great channel. Oh and I just subscribed to Mitz’s!
Thick as Thieves - Thanks for all you do. Hoping to get my first CNC machine this summer.
Thick as thieves. Ty for a real side by side comparison of two people that know a lot of info and can actually talk a bit about both. Well kinda.
Thick as thieves. I don’t have a Cnc yet, that 4040 pro looks like a nice one to get started with.
Thick as Thieves. Love the video. I want to get into CNC and this video helped me

“THICK AS THIEVES”😜. I have been enjoying the new format and being a part of CNC with me!
Thick as Thieves - Another great video, nice to see something more geared to a beginner and how it compares to higher end machines
thick as theives. let's gooooooo! Mitz is a stud! He's helped me a ton.
Thick as thieves@ Thank you!
THICK AS THIEVES - as always a great video! Lots of information inspiration and great intention.
I love how you guys have come together to really show is how diverse the hobby is.
thick as thieves love the videos still on the fence on what onefinity machine to get.
I’m thinking about selling my shaper origin and getting the One Finity foreman. I love the shaper origin, but it’s just so slow compared to a CNC.
Thick as thieves! Great comparison video. Been looking for a budget CNC
